  1. Yes, I feel like I'm just walking around in a "poisoned" home...afraid to touch anything...Sounds horrible, I know. I just want to start over. New EVERYTHING! :/
  2. I ALSO WANT TO ADD REAL QUICK...WOULD YOU SUGGEST I GIVE UP MY MILO'S SWEET TEA?? I'LL BE HONEST...I REALLY DON'T WANT TO, BUT I WOULD HATE FOR THAT TO BE THE ONE THING THAT IS KEEPING ME FROM GETTING WELL...
  3. I just got a phone call from my doctor's office saying biopsy I had last week confirms Celiac. (I had blood work approx 1 mth ago that was also positive). I have been gluten-free for 1 1/2 weeks now. Trust me, I understand this is a LOOOOONG (life long, actually) journey and that I am only just beginning. I just can't seem to shake this dizziness and brain...
  4. haha...i don't know why "wacko" is beside my name...I'm really not THAT crazy!
  5. Anyone know any "celiac savvy" doctors in North Mississippi?? I would really feel more comfortable with someone with good experience...having a hard time finding anyone around here.
  6. Okay...I am still awaiting biopsy results, but I have been gluten free for 7 days. Though I can say that I have noticed some change, I still get dizzy at times throughout the day and experience complete brain fog. Should this be diminishing after no gluten?? Will I feel like this for a while? Why do I feel like this if I am not eating ANY gluten? Could...
  7. You pretty much described me in a nutshell. I might add that it happens so rapidly...sometimes mid-conversation with someone. And YOU realize immediately what is happening, knowing the other person can not understand why you have all of a sudden "zoned out" and are not able to complete a sentence. I have no advice though. I generally have to sit/lay down...
  8. Thanks! I guess I just worried about Cross Contamination...I'm new to the diagnosis...and well, everything scares me!! We shall see how it goes!
  9. OKAY...seasoned Celiac professionals...I am REALLY craving some ice cream right now! I am wondering if the Butterfinger Blast from Sonic is "safe"! Any bad experiences with ice cream there???
  10. WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to call this afternoon!
  11. I think I will definitely call first...but just so I'm not made to look "stupid"...They do HAVE to give me a copy, right?? Even if they aren't able to explain the results to me at that time??? I just want to be prepared...
  12. That's what I'm starting to realize..."lack of knowledge"...I'm noticing it everywhere. I feel like I have to define "Celiac" to everyone I encounter. No one seems to understand. Everyone is skeptical that something as simple as "diet" could affect your body in so many different ways. Doctors are even skeptical...I do not live in a very gluten-free state...
  13. Yea, that's frustrating! So, what did you find out with your results???
  14. Thanks for the replies. Going to the office in person is a good idea. I don't know why I'm so "anxious". I guess maybe to confirm that I am not going crazy...to legitimize WHY I've feeling this way...I'm scared they'll say NOT CELIAC...SEE YA'! Hoping for answers...
  15. Okay, so I had my biopsy on Monday and was told they should have the results back by Friday (tomorrow). So, I just called to see if results were back yet. I was told that they do not give test results back over the phone and that I would have to wait until my follow up appointment, which is scheduled for A MONTH FROM NOW!! Did anyone else have to wait for...
  16. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENT! I'm PRETTY sure he completed all of the other blood work but it was negative. He did the ARA in addition to the other. So, I guess: Is it still likely that I have Celiac if some blood work was negative but some was positive? What other condition could cause my small intestine to be inflamed (since I at least know that much from...
  17. Okay, so here is my story in a nutshell...I have had stomach "issues" and GERD for as long as I can remember. Honestly, I have just gotten used to it...always told I probably had IBS. However, a few months ago I went to my doctor because I was having severe joint/muscle pain and fatigue. I had no idea what was causing it. I thought arthritis! Anyway...
