  1. Sorry for this simple question, but does white school glue usually contain gluten. I am talking "no name" brands. Thank you!
  2. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's trouble and pain! Have you thought about the chiropractor? Friends of ours had similar ongoing problems with bowels etc. (even after removing guten, dairy etc.) and it turned out to be a spine alignment issue that slumped the intestines one way. Things have already been improving greatly after a few treatment sessions...
  3. What does the yogurt at room temperature accomplish? Is it just easier on the system than cold yogurt?
  4. Have you ever discovered "glutened" rice? I am wondering if I need to buy gluten-free labelled rice?
  5. I am no expert at all on this, but my son (with wheat and other intolerances) reacts extremely to all food additives, i.e., in bacon (even the natural, gluten-free type), pesticides in non-organic grapes, sulfites in raisins (organic, nothing added). What about testing for intolerances by a naturopath? (The methods are not bullet-proof at all, but they will...
  6. Thank you for sharing! I agree, it is sad to hear that so many children are suffering, but it also helps to share stories and information. Our son is also very skinny and has always been a picky eater so I gave in to much more junk food than I wanted to. (Same story: Not filling up on real food, asking for sweet snacks...) He used to eat a lot of refined...
  7. Oh, and another thing we have in common: Our son has been on PEG (same as Miralax I think) for months now, prescribed by his family doctor. He was so severely back-logged (constipated) that apparently it takes many months for it all to go back into its normal shape. I completely share your frustration in short-term measures by medical doctors, though, all...
  8. OMG, I thought you are describing OUR 8-year-old, crazy! His story sounds quite similar, according to a blood test for delayed food allergies he is intolerant to Gluten and wheat and a lot of other foods (egg, sesame, likely a lot of other grains, nuts, soy, tomatoes ...). The worst reaction is to Gluten and sulfites, though, and he has had intense abdominal...
  9. Oh, forgot to mention that he should also not have any sugar (We are not able to comply 100% to this one, though. ), absolutely no additives/artificial coloring, nuts (except almonds). Potato chips seemed OK for a while but then he reacted to those as well. (Likely there was some sunflower oil in there.) For now we'll stick to homemade cookies... Thank...
  10. Hello again, I did not take your message the wrong way, so no worries! I was honestly looking for advice, so even if you were being the "wise guy" it would be OK! Very true about children touching and hugging everything, I am being more careful recently. On our search for bread, the problem is we will still eat a different one than my son, as he...
  11. Thanks so much for your replies! And for pointing out the obvious , it's definitely still needed here as I am pretty new to all this. I am glad to hear that my suspicion of the CC from toys might be real, next time I will be better prepared. (I haven't been buying a lot of pre-made gluten-free foods so far as my son can't eat any of it, anyways. (Other...
  12. Hello! Sorry, I am fairly new to this and would like some advice, please. My 8-year-old son has severe gluten intolerance as well as several other food intolerances (incl. egg and sesame, likely sulfites), some still unknown. We are still struggling with regular abdominal pains and can often not be sure if it is caused by gluten or another food. ...
