    Well I am going to stop the prednisone now, its now or in a few days so I may as well deal with this flare and get it over with.     Thankyou for your input, I think I can manage 3 weeks with the gluten until my appointment then I will go gluten free. I will attempt to explain the situation to the dermatologist and hope that he/she has a good knowledge base of this disease.     Good Morning Squirmingitch, I live in Canada, the west coast now. I was born in England and moved here as a child. I have 2 children both are grown and in their late 20's. I don't know if any of my close relatives has celiac however my grandmother on my mom's side passed away from colon cancer, not sure if that could have been from an undiagnosed case...

I developed my rash last September and have been to the doctors 7 times and have run the gamut of creams and antihistamines etc, I even did a scabies treatment, all to no avail.
