  1. Thanks so much. Everyone on this forum has been so supportive. Right now I'm just trying to deal with explaining this to my family and dealing with all the life changes.
  2. Thank you so much. That definitely helped. I'm on day 1 of the diet today and go for the genetic tests next week. I'm like you as well, dairy makes me sick. I'm in the bathroom with in 30 minutes. Although the lactose intolerant breath test came back negative as well.
  3. When they ran the blood tests they only ran one test. The IGA. That came back negative. The biopsy results were what was above. At this point, I'm tired of feeling sick, and the only answer I was given is IBS. I'm going to assume I have NCGS, since I've had improvement on a gluten free diet. However I was curious to know how the knowledgeable people...
  4. Hey guys. After months of frustration and pain I finally got my biopsy tests back. My GI diagnosed me with ibs, but because of known improvement on a gluten free diet due to a 2 week trail and family history of auto immune conditions as well as hashimotos myself, after looking at the results I'm a little skeptical. My primary had only ran one test the...
  5. Ok good. Thanks I'm going to start on them tommorrow.
  6. Hey guys, I have a quick question. My GI wanted me to start taking these probiotics, however I have my endoscopy in a week and a few days. Should I wait until after the endoscopy/biopsy or should I just start taking them?
  7. Just curious, where did you guys buy the biocard test at? Do they sell it at cvs or walgreens?
  8. No skin or sinus issues related to dairy that I know about. I do get this red rash that shows up randomly for about an hour or two and then goes away. Its almost always on my neck and chest. But I don't know if that's related to anything. I can handle a small amount of dairy, like a little bit of cheese. But any large amount gives me bad D and gas. ...
  9. I have the horizontal nail ripples as well. Your symptoms sound like a carbon copy of mine. Except I have the D and C alternating. Most recently since I've increased gluten levels while testing, I've started getting the tingling in the fingers as well. Drs just seem to be clueless when it comes to celiac disease and gluten sensitivity.
  10. No I wasn't. Except for the 12 ounces of whole milk I had to drink this morning. I was wondering the same.
  11. Thanks :/ I'm just really annoyed with my primary. I have hypothyroid which I'm on synthroid for. Just test a positive on my ANA tests which he blew off and said they mean nothing. I have 3 aunts (moms sisters) dx with Lupus, 1 aunt dx with hashimotos. Thyroid conditions on both sides of family. A mile long list of symptoms all related to celiac, plus...
  12. I just got my test results back for celiac, if you can call it that. I literally had to bug my doctor for the results. Anyway, I called yesterday and they tell me its a negative. I had a lactose test today, also negative by the way even though milk gives me the worst gas and D. So I go to pick up copys of the tests. He only ran 1 test. The Tissue Transglutaminase...
  13. Hang in there Maggie. I know its tough right now, but stand your ground and you will get answers. We are all right there with you.
  14. Georgia-Guy: I'm sorry you have to go through all that with your insurance to get a Dx. I am very fortunate that I have great insurance. Blood tests are free, copays are 10, and I have a 5000 hra that I can get anything medical reimbursed. That's why I'm pretty much pushing to get it all done. It's terrible how much people have to pay just to feel better...
  15. My blood tests look very similar to your list. Its strange that they won't run both the endoscopy and colonoscopy. My GI scheduled them both. However my insurance company won't let me do them both the same day. I cringed a little bit looking at the prep work for the colonoscopy. Lol. Good luck by the way.
  16. I have the breath test for Lactose scheduled next week as well as the other one, the fructose breath test. (Not alcohol. Haha) When all these tests are done, I will probably push for the Hashimotos as well as the Lupus test. My ANA tests did come back positive. I have tried everything. Peppermint, pepto, you name it, nothing helps. The only time...
  17. I've never been formally diagnosed with Hashimoto's however I've assumed that is what I had for a few years now. When I was first diagnosed, I was only borderline. I started on a .65 mg of synthroid and now I am up to a .1mg dose. For about 6 years, I thought that all my symptoms were thyroid related. But I've seen 3 Drs and they have all done Thyroid...
  18. I completely get where you are coming from. I am going through a similar situation at the moment. Almost 2 weeks waiting for blood tests. (The lab messed up). Ana tests came back positive, although my pcp pretty much just blew them off. I have another round of blood tests next week along with a few breath tests. A endoscopy and colonoscopy scheduled for...
  19. Hi everyone. This is my first time posting although I've been reading some of your posts for a week or so now. I have a few questions that I hope you can all help me with. A little catch up on where I've been and where I am currently. I was diagnosed with hypo thyroid 10 years ago and have been on Synthroid since then. At that point I was getting...
