				ARCHIVED Abdominal distension getting worse.
Ennis-TX replied to BarryC's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
My distention normally goes away in less then 24 hours just leaving me to wear a girdle for awhile til the skin goes back. Might look at getting your antibodies tested to see if they go down, might do for a cleanse of the gut and a flushing to sort of reset it with simple meals like stews, soups eggs. Maybe a week of psyllum husk, or flush with a full bottle... -
SO still getting over a gluten issue....I was unaware I kept on glutening myself with my tooth brush....threw it out and the D finally stopped but not have rebound constipation lol. Few days it should be fine, but lesson learned. I have some inconsistencies with vomiting...unsure if due to constipation or a new intolerance...I suspected flax seed at first...

				ARCHIVED Nutrients injections
Ennis-TX replied to Reham's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I would avoid injections, at that age healing should be quick on a whole food diet (avoid processed foods with filler and junk food). Look at making homemade hearty stews with bone broth, meat and veggies a nice crockpot and crockpot liners can make doing gluten free batch cooking simple. Omelettes with blended greens in them (kids can bit a bit picky so... -
Keep a food diary and find out what your triggers are, often after a gluten exposure we get new intolerance issues or sometimes a food allergy. You might have a temporary intolerance to a food. Heck I got a iceberg lettuce intolerance after my last one lol. Anyway look at common ones, might be something like dairy, soy, garlic, onions peppers etc. It might...

Egg Allergy/intolerance After Effect Of Celiac?
Ennis-TX replied to a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Egg yolks bother me as I lack the enzymes to process them (look up enzyme deficiencies) as to intolerance...they randomly develop with this disease and spike after exposure. I call them rolling intolerance because they come and go for weeks to months at a time and normally correlate to foods I was eating when I got glutened.....want funny...I currently can... -

ARCHIVED Prosopagnosia - Inability To Recognize Faces
Ennis-TX replied to kbtoyssni's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I assumed it was my autism....I can be in the same class, or work with someone for over a year and still not be able to match a face to a name. I recognize people more by a combination of voice, attitude, body outline, hair, then I do by actual faces....they seem to...muddle hard to explain but when I try to compare peoples faces to memories they distort... -

				ARCHIVED Gluten related bo?
Ennis-TX replied to V123's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Fecal BO? Like a fecal like body odor? A odd or off smell from the body is often a sign of a intolerance to something and your body excreting stuff from the pores....If I eat meat with enzymes to help me digest it (without enzymes I can not eat meat) My body starts emitting the smell of something like cat pee and fish....really bad smell to the point I just... -

ARCHIVED gluten-free Sparkling Water- Harris Teeter Brand?
Ennis-TX replied to devinam's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Yikes...yeah only case I have seen of barley/rye in a non alcoholic beverage was the retro pepsi in the black and gold cans. The used barley malt in it for flavoring initially. I get the paranoia....I often interact with the the world and others that eat gluten...makes you a bit paranoid those times you forget to wash your hands before touching your mouth... -
In Hindsight I did have a gluten issue with maple syrup 3 years ago...but it was homemade, harvested by a Amish family and bottled and sold at the farmer market...they also made breads so that was more of a duh moment and I just gave it away after obvious exposure...not the syrup fault or a companies.

Depends on the host, who makes them, how much you eat it, and the person. I react to stuff below 20ppm if in constant exposure I learned from some CCed hemp protein that tested at 16ppm, took me a week to start getting symptoms. I think the main "low Gluten" host was below 5ppm? Your probably not doing too much damage but I would personally see about taking...

ARCHIVED gluten-free Sparkling Water- Harris Teeter Brand?
Ennis-TX replied to devinam's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Should be fine I often use a few mineral and sparkling waters myself, found a sugar free soda called Zevia certified gluten free with all soda flavor knock offs, that uses just stevia and flavors no dyes that I love. I also recently found "Bubly" water at Walmart and love it as I can sweeten with stevia or monk fruit to taste. Tried a another brand called... -

help! ARCHIVED I’m new please help
Ennis-TX replied to Lovelyjess's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Celiac requires you to be eating gluten to get tested, you should see about getting tested if you can. Damage from celiac can lead to leaky gut, food intolerance issues, food allergies, etc. It has many symptoms but requires you to "eat" the gluten or somehow have gluten particles get into your intestines by some means to have a reaction.....Open Original... -

ARCHIVED Cheese that's labelled gluten free?
Ennis-TX replied to Ottawa Dude's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Well many celiacs develop dairy intolerance, lactose intolerance or issues with other proteins like casein an whey. I have lactose intolerance and a whey allergy myself. I only only ever seen wheat used in blue cheese, and in some artisan blends it is very rare for a cheese of dairy or vegan to contain gluten. Bit curious to the brand etc. PS there are some... -

				ARCHIVED Eliminating dairy while healing
Ennis-TX replied to tessa25's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
...What nutrient benfits? Midevil times and Renascence dairy was used to make people fat...still great for that. Dairy is for bovine on a genetic level...not humans...I would not mind homosapian milk. BS aside the non dairy alternative Almond Milk, Cashew Milk, Macadamia Milk etc....all has MORE Calcium then Dairy Milk...so I have no clue what your talking... -

ARCHIVED How can I tell my 2 yr old has been glutened?
Ennis-TX replied to GR8ness's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
"Ordered Pizza" NO pizza from a chain despite saying gluten free is actually going to be gluten free They cook it in the same ovens, use hte same ladle to spread the sauce, reach in to the same ingredient pins often after touching a gluten pizza, and some even use the same pizza cutter. They are "Fad Diet" gluten free not medical. As mentioned above go... -
Up til 3 months ago constipation used to be my major indicator for CC issues, a would up my dose of Natural vitality calm a bit to (Magnesium Citrate) to loosen it up a bit back then. Had to change to a glycinate recently as I now deal with D. Anyway the C in part is from magnesium difeincy is is made worse by damaged gut and glutenings. What else did...

I think your thinking of "Soy Sauce" which is fermented soy, wheat and salt as a basis. Actual pure soy does not contain gluten.....thought as mentioned above many of us with gluten issues are also intolerant to soy. PS this is a very old thread, ALWAYS check ingridents on the actual product and email the companies and when in doubt throw it out.

				ARCHIVED Sudden Celiac? Help!
Ennis-TX replied to Countjulian's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have had slight symptoms all my life, but considered them "Normal" til I did something stupid with alchol and triggered my symptoms to change to much more noticeable ones before linking it to celiac. (short summary to spare you the details). But there are cases where a shock to the body triggers the dormant gene or changes the symptoms. I am also getting... -

celiac desease ARCHIVED For how long the antibodies IgA and IgG on gluten stay in body?
Ennis-TX replied to radik's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Probably no gluten in them it can take 12 weeks for antibodies to show in the blood stream, and they can linger for about that long also..."hidden" gluten depends on the food and product the term is more of a fear monger thing. It probably was referring to stuff that somehow might get CCed but test below the limit but you always have the kind of chance with... -

				Dairy free Pizza cheese alternatives?
Ennis-TX replied to mystic's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
This confuses me, I know the package will say the cutting board style....but without seeing the package I do not know. BTW if you get more of the non cutting board style I have the BEST cheesy bread recipe that works with their normal version of shred so as to not go to waste (I was planning on sending some if I got the chance to ship you stuff) anyway. I... -

				Dairy free Pizza cheese alternatives?
Ennis-TX replied to mystic's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Kite hill by a long shot the daiya has a chemical flavor, I recognize it as artificially cream cheese flavoring I use in my flavor drops....I loved the kite hill so much...I kept eating it even though it made me puke after....just tasted that good. (I am intolerant to xantham gum which is in both of those but the kite hill was worth it) BTW their ricotta... -
Sounds like pancreatic enzyme deficiencies, need to talk to a doctor about it....in my case my stomach would not dump and I could not digest meat, animal fats, etc. It would just puke back up 4-6 hours later or pass in the stool undigested. I have to take porcine enzymes with my meals to digest foods. They make a vegan version of digestive enzymes but not...

At this point I think we have reached you should just get a big ole sampler of a bit of everything and try... -

				Dairy free Pizza cheese alternatives?
Ennis-TX replied to mystic's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
OK odd but the one I shop at is Whole Foods on Park Lane in Dallas Tx. here is a picture of their non dairy cheese section lower half. Missed getting the shreds in the top half. You can see the Leaf Cusines tubs below the daiya next to the kit hill and the Miyoko Vegan Mozz below the tree line to the right, the tree line scallion is right next to the ricotta...
