  1. Oh yeah, definitely. The plan was basically just to see if I even got a positive result at all, not so much to compare the exact numbers.
  2. Okay thanks! I will wait the recommended amount of time before getting another test, as I don't want to mess it up just because I was rushing.
  3. I feel like you might be a little annoyed/offended that I'm trying to get a second opinion on this. Please understand that I have done tons of research on all of this and I know that there are people with few to no symptoms. That's why I included the disclaimer that I know I might be wrong. But I'm only 20 years old, and going completely gluten free is a...
  4. Well, for me the question isn't so much are they really down as it is were they ever really that elevated? I feel like there was some sort of mistake in thinking I ever had this in the first place. (I definitely know I could be wrong about that!!) but I feel like because I had so few symptoms (none of which were serious), was only sick for a few weeks after...
  5. Hey everyone! I ended up sticking to the gluten-free diet for 3 months and got the second blood test to see what would happen. My results are crazy though. After only 3 months of trying really hard but definitely consuming a little gluten here and there, my antibodies have gone almost completely away. The value that was 329 before is now only 3. ...
  6. Thank you so much!!! Also, I did read the rest of your first response and I guess I will have to stop eating out and eating the catering at work. Just verifying no gluten is obviously not enough. :/ After 6 weeks it is getting easier though so I'm sure it will continue to
  7. I'm not sure what abbreviation this is... it was the Gliadin Iga Abs2. It was a 329 with a moderate/strong positive being >30. My IgA was 144 with the standard range of 91-414 and the Transglutaminase Iga was <2 with negative being 0-3. I think that last one is the tissue one?
  8. I am currently in the middle of a 3 month gluten-free diet between 2 antibody blood tests (trying to diagnose without a scope). Before I had my first test, the reason I went to the Dr. was just for a general physical/checkup because I had been feeling sick for about 2 weeks following an extremely stressful week. I would have a weird burning/painful/generally...
  9. I've read that sometimes when people go gluten free their body can go into withdrawal. That could by why you're feeling worse right now.
  10. Thank you all so much for your tips!
  11. A few days ago I went to lunch with a few coworkers to celebrate a birthday. We went to an Italian place that had mostly pastas and pizzas with a few (gross sounding) salads. Obviously, my options were super limited, so I asked the waitress if they had any gluten-free options, and she goes, "Of course! How gluten free are you?" and started describing this...
  12. It's looking like I misunderstood what the process would be. I asked her, and she said that if the antibodies and symptoms go away after a gluten free diet, she would have a diagnosis, but if the antibodies are still there, we would look at other possibilities. She said if I wanted to be referred to a gastroenterologist after that she would, but that she...
  13. I would be totally fine with not getting a scope if the blood tests would be conclusive enough! I'm not having any problems being very strict with myself... the threat of damaging my intestines is scary enough to keep me on it haha
  14. I posted my results & the message from my Dr. in a reply to the post. I'm not sur eif it will notify you so I am telling you like this as well.
  15. Yes, I believe her plan was to see if the antibodies go away.
