  1. I had testing done which was negative but had been gluten free about 2 months. I have been eating gluten for about a month now. I havent eaten something that was mostly wheat since then. I have had some breads, but they were white bread, but definitely not gluten free. I bought some crackers about a week ago that I havent eaten since I started a trial of...

  3. I gave my doctor a list of the tests rcommended on here to do. I know he was concerned about insurance billing, and matching the initials I gave him to the tests list of the lab. Well today I got back the results, and evidently he only did two which look to be negative. gliadin (deaminated) antibodies evaluation , Iga, serum.................(reference...
  4. I thought I read on a link someone posted here that gluten-free up to 6 mo would be OK. I may be wrong. My memory isnt very good. I truly doubt I have been gluten-free for more than a few days at a time. Because as I was learning more and reading more labels and checking restaurant foods more (after the fact) I am finding I made quite a few mistakes. Sometimes...

  7. Just did labs.yesterday morning. The doc is also supposed to check celiac as well but they arent in yet. I have some curious labs that have me concerned. I am reading there may be some coorelation with celiac, but I am not sure I understand. I figure the doc will call when everything is back. I have been vegan and trying to eliminate glutin since February...
  8. I am not diabetic but over the past 5 yrs or so I have developed skin tags. Also had the darkened areas of skin around the neck and underarms. I read this was caused by metabolic syndrome. I went on glucophage for this and it cleared up, but later the tags arrived. I have been doing a plant based diet , that is almost oil free, and sugar free since end of...

  11. I know this is an old post, but I have been researching gluten sensitivity and stumbled upon an article that mentioned a relationship with insulin resistance. After reading this, I stumbled upon another article that relates skin tags as a symptom of insulin resistance. : Open Original Shared Link So it seems highly plausable there is a coorelation there...
  12. I had thought about waiting the month till my next appointment until I read you had to be on gluten for 12 weeks before testing. I have been trying to be gluten free for about 4 days. But I know there have been a couple of mistakes. Can I still test?
  13. Thyroid has been checked a couple of times. once normal, the other borderline normal for hypothyroid.
  14. I have been having hair loss for several yrs. Sometimes worse than others. I have only recently been changing my eating habits but I am very careful about getting a variety of greens and other fruits and veggies especially when juicing. One doesnt have to have dairy and meat for a well balanced diet. as for the weight gain. I went a whole week while on vacation...
  15. I went vegetarian in january, then Vegan in February. Mostly for health reasons. I also have done bouts of 100% juicing. When I juiced I would lose up to 3 lbs daily. Then when I even added in just one plant based meal I would start gaining back. I have been struggling to figure out whats going on. I then eliminated nuts and almost all oil and sugar. Lost...
