  1. It is proven that the suction does pull some saliva into the breast however this would not get into your digestive tract.
  2. Yes gluten passes into breast milk. Your baby could be having issues with gluten or your antibodies. My baby spits up and gets gas if I have been contaminated. My 2 year old is also a diagnosed celiac. So I am thinking baby will have to be watched carefully as he shows reactivity to.
  3. I had a hard time going gluten free until after indulging in something I had horrible stomach upset and diarrhea. And my diarrhea had blood in it. It was then I realized what was really going on inside that I couldn't see but was feeling. Since then I haven't had any temptations. Even cookies! Which I love. It was my light bulb moment.   4. I was tested in 2012 and my tests came back positive. But I never got my results. A few weeks ago I got the test results and the family doctor said I have celiac disease. I went gluten free and know when I have had gluten now. I feel so much better. But because I had such a long time before I got my results I got another test. That blood test came back normal...
  5. I am new also. At the end of day 5 here even though I was diagnosed just over 2 weeks ago. This site has a bunch of info and a site called www.glutedude.com does to. It can be so overwhelming but I am trying to get the hang of it. I also get gluten withdrawal. Sudden hits of hunger that I cannot fill. I may fill these voids with a snack but I do what I can...
  6. I was tested 3 years ago. No one ever gave me my results until last week. Now trying to go gluten free is just overwhelming. I read the Newbie 101 thread and just ended up crying and in shock and overwhelmed. I just don't know how to do all this. I feel like I am fighting a silent battle and losing.
