  1. His hematology appt actually isn't until the end of Nov. His platelet count indicates the anemia though his hemoglobin is slower to lower. Nothing out of range except for the platelet counts. Though his last CBC w/diff and CBC w/out diff Component Your Value Standard Range White Blood Cell Count ...
  2. I was thinking about this!!! But we are military and I worry that when we move, whoever the new doctor is would think it wasn't accurate and probably still require trial/testing anyway :/
  3. Sorry, I should have specified that the biopsies from his upper/lower scope didn't show anything Aside from some minor inflammation. I am also about to head out the door but will definitely look up the DGP test! I haven't heard of that one! His primary dr is all about ordering what ever tests we need to. She wasn't familiar with the HLA testing...
  4. My 4 yo son has had iron issues since he was 1. At 2 he had upper and lower scopes done, both didn't show anything abnormal. Treatment for his iron has been to increase his iron supplement every time it falls. We increase, he levels out ok, after 3-4 months it tanks again, up the amount of supplement, 3-4 months go by..... He is up to 75mg of iron supplement...
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions! I am using almond or cashew milk for now since low fodmap doesn't allow dairy. Its just the fruit and veggies part that can be tricky. I used to have protein shakes quite a bit but my usual protein powder I'd use doesn't have fodmap approved ingredients. I probably need to take some time this weekend and really shop specifically...
  6. ME! They all decided to have a party in my body! Woohoo! Anyone else in the same boat? I'm going to be asking for a referral for a nutritionist soon because I'm really feeling defeated by struggling with what I can actually eat. My GI dr has me on low FODMAP, plus of course gluten-free, and now with the gastroparesis(GP), its smaller meals throughout...
  7. Thanks Gemini for the beer suggestions! I looked it up and I do have places that carry it near by! Totally going to go find some to try Had my EGD this morning and confirmed Celiac. Confirmed visually but the dr. still took biopsy samples too. Not too surprising as I figured that would be the case. I had to laugh a little though, as I...
  8. Aw man! I knew there was gluten-free-beer and I figured it wouldn't be *exactly* the same but I had hopes! lol I suppose I too will have to stick with wine!
  9. I had my GI appt today! I am scheduled for my EGD first thing tomorrow morning! I'm his first appt So no matter what it shows, gluten doesn't appear to agree with me, whether it be Celiac or intolerance today is my last day having to eat it and I couldn't be happier! After the GI appt I went straight to the store and stocked up on gluten-free-foods so...
  10. I'm still new to the board too and even though my blood test and symptoms are suggestive of Celiac I am still waiting on my appt with GI. For my symptoms however, the only time I got diarrhea was after I did a gluten-free diet for 3 weeks to see if it would make me feel better, then going back on gluten. I had horrible diarrhea for the first week back...
  11. Thanks for pointing all that out Gemini! I look forward to finally getting off gluten for good to see how much everything changes. I never thought about the absorption of my synthroid with all my other issues. I just see my primary dr. for all my thyroid, perhaps I will ask for a referral to an endo dr for further evaluation and treatment. Thanks for all...
  12. It certainly is bittersweet! I wonder if most remember their last gluten meal lol My 9 year old has had a severe peanut allergy since he was born so we haven't had peanuts in the house for 9 years and I rarely eat them when I have a chance. We use a peanut butter alternative for all our baking and cooking and I honestly can't taste the difference...
  13. Yeah I have went back on gluten weeks ago while I wait for testing I'm sucking it up and dealing until I get into the GI. 7 weeks!!! YIKES! I hope I don't have to wait that long! Though I did start a gluten bucket-list. I figure if I don't have celiacs I'm still going off gluten because while it did take a few weeks, there was definite improvement...
  14. Hello! I've been battling symptoms for just over a year now. A lot of back and forth and blood tests and even though my Dr. put me on synthroid for elevated TSH levels it wasn't until a few months ago she ordered the antibody test (TPO) and my TPO was >1000 so Hashi's was confirmed. I kept hoping that if I got my thyroid numbers in line that all...
