    My son is 8 and was diagnosed with Diabetes when he was 3. He had his biopsy and was diagnosed with Celiac on March 8 of this year. The biopsy was very stressful for him. I don't know that I'd do it again if I had the choice. He couldn't eat all day and his biopsy wasn't until 3 pm. He went low, probably from the stress. It was just a huge pain. Anyway...

    Thanks for all the replies. Yes he is on the pump and he HAD really good control of his diabetes. Now that he won't eat we are a bit off, even had ketones last week because he wouldn't eat but we are working on that. As far as the GI goes, they diagnosed him and told us to come back in 3 months.     I would still have a Diabetes test done. My son was tested for diabetes in May of 2000 and in February of 2001 he started having to go to the bathroom constantly and sure enough he was diagnosed with Diabetes. He wasn't diagnosed with Celiac until this month, so I wouldn't know anything about the gluten causing the urination. I just wanted to let you know...

    Wow, didn't expect this to get revived We did the biopsy on March 3rd. The results came back definitely positive so now we know. If I could go back I wouldn't have done the biopsy.     Just got the numbers from our doctor. His IgG was 24, she said positive was 9. His tTG was only a 2.

    My son is only 5 and he had no idea he was going in to be tested. I figured it was easier to just take him in and spring it on him instead of letting him make that decision.     So basically, a weak positive just means it may be the early signs right? He always tells me his bones hurt and I just figured it was growing pains.     My son is 8 and is a Type 1 Diabetic. His doctor is screening all her Diabetic patients for Celiac. His first round of tests came back borderline so she ordered other tests to see if anything could be causing that and got a weak positive for Celiac. What does that mean? Don't you either have it or not have it? Now I have to take my child in for a biopsy...
