(I don't know how to use this message board...help!) Anyway, to the person who's been to Italk, w/ good luck, w/ Italian website, etc.... I'm going to Rome, Italy. Are you saying that some restaurants serve gluten-free pasta??? Or, you took your own and they accomodated you? Thanks!!

"ditto" to what everyone else said. I have been to a registered dietitian. She was moderately helpful. But we discovered later that some of her information was wrong or misinformed. I paid a LOT of money. My insurance did not cover any of it, eventhough it was prescribed by my doctor. I have learned more by talking with others and this web site. sorry...

I'm willing to travel. My family doc. did a blood test a little over a year ago and I've been gluten free since Nov. 1, 2004. But I've never seen a gastroenterologist...

Can anyone recommend a gastroenterologist (and/or other type of doctor) who is familiar with Celiac Disease and/or IBS? In North Carolina. I live near Charlotte, NC but am willing to travel. I've already been diagnosed w/ Celiac and have been gluten free since Nov. 1, 2004. But I need to find someone who specializes; and with more expertise.
