  1. Hmmm....I guess that makes sense. Darn, and I thought I might be able to figure this out. Problem is - my problems are in the morning, and I haven't changed anything in my diet. I have no idea what my problem is. Could be that the popcorn I was eating is no longer gluten-free - I used to eat it every night. A big mistake I made also, was trying...
  2. Ok, good to know. I eat a lot of Progresso Soup. I'm going to lay off the Lays too - hehehe. All of them, though, b/c I figure if some of Lays products are bothering people, they can't be very gluten-free. Perhaps the gluten content in the things that don't bother us is just too low to give symptoms - I'm just afraid it may be doing silent damage. ...
  3. Thanks, Chelse, I guess that would have been the better question to ask: What mainstream (supposedly) gluten-free products have affected some of you, and what labeled gluten-free products have affected some of you? My problem is that it takes a while for gluten to give me symptoms - like, I need a building up of it in my system before I see consistent...
  4. For instance, I've heard that Lays chips are gluten-free (except for Doritos and maybe a few others) and Progresso soups seems to list allergens, and some Francesco Rinaldi pasta sauces, etc..... I've been eating stuff like that (and other mainstream products) for a while now, but I seem to be getting a reoccurance of symptoms and I'm wondering if I am...
  5. My endo. couldn't pin down my source of hypo either. We tried absolutely every test he could think of. At first he was firly certain of Adrenal Issuficiency, but cortisol stimulation tests proved normal. He even did a scan for insulinomas. It is incredibly better since going gluten-free, but I do have to be very careful about what I eat and when. I really...
  6. Ok, I was wrong. There ARE only 2 types, but I can't identify which I am. According to this article: Open Original Shared Link I am both, reactive and fasting. But the article I linked in my previous post was what I was like pre-gluten-free. Maybe I still am reactive, but just not as severely (?) Actually, I was soooooo much better the past...
  7. I'm glad to see this thread was started. I was just going to post one. I posted on that thread about this too (the one about what you eat) I'll post here basically what I just said there. I'm confused abaout what some of you say about reactive hypoclycemia. I was told there are at least 3 types of hypoglycemia. Before I was dx-ed Celiac, I was...
  8. Ok, this has been really interesting. I have to say though, to all you hypoglycemics out there (myself included) it will help if you don't start your day with something sweet. All the muffins, sweet cereal (I'd forgotten Pebbles were gluten-free - but now I am reminded as to why I don't eat them ), even all the fruit and raisins- baaaaaaad stuff for us...
  9. I've been gluten-free for 2 years now. I'd like to know what brands of things you all are using. I'm getting gluten somewhere and not sure where. Here is my 'menu'. Brkfst: "Lifestream" gluten-free Buckweat berry waffles (plain) w/orange juice (I'm Hypogylcemic too, so I have snacks) Snack: Block of hard cheese with lays chips (Fritos, Cheetos...
  10. Open Original Shared Link some info on how class-action suits work and strategies on how to get around all the politics involved. I personally would really like to see this work. Lets get big Corporations to think twice about playing the games McD's plays.
  11. I'll chime in too. I just can't believe they did this, and it makes me wonder what other companies are doing the same thing; saying they have gluten-free products to get more business. I've had a lot of problems over the past year, and fairly certain McD's fries were getting to me. I never ate at McDonald's often, but once a month was too often now that...
