  1. I hope I'm not late... The places I have been to were Carraba's (they have a gluten free menu on their website) and Sweet Tomatoes (the production manager is very nice and helpful ). Carraba's Raleigh (919) 871-0001 4821 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27616 or Cary (919) 467-9901 1148 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary, NC 27511 and Cary Sweet...
  2. Thank you so much!
  3. Hi. Tomorrow I'm going on a day trip to Charlotte and I wanted to know if any of you know a good place in Charlotte, NC where you can eat nice and affordable food? I know that there's not much time left, but I was hoping that I could find something on my own and I failed... Something "plain" like Sweet Tomatoes would be fine with me... Thank you in advance...
  4. I live in North Carolina and in this particular region they have stores like Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods and Kroger. I will contact those stores and hope they can help me. I"ll come back to you if I have any questions about a specific brand. Thanks to the both of you.
  5. Hi! Gibt's hier irgendjemanden im Forum aus Deutschland?
  6. Hi! I know that in Germany there are some companies like Unilever and Nestlé that have downloadable PDF lists with gluten-free products. Which companies in the US offer such a service or where can I get gluten-free lists in general? I already got some information on Amy's kitchen soups, Wolfgang Puck and Hershey's. Thanks in advance!
  7. Hey there! Could anyone tell me where I can get gluten-free hollandaise or an easy recipe how to make it? Thanks!
  8. Thank you. Yea, I called the FDA which told me to call Progresso and they said that Datem is gluten-free and if it wasn't they would mention it on the package.
  9. Mmmh...I have to admit that I am obviously not as sensitive to gluten as some people but I have spent 21 years (my whole life) in Germany and I have to say that the situation is improving especially since they introduced the new laws for listing allergens. When I came over here I found it really sad when I found out that in the States you only list wheat...
  10. I was looking for some gluten-free soups that I could get at a normal store and read that Progresso has a lot of gluten-free soups. Reading the ingredients I noticed that the ones that seem to be gluten-free have "datem". What is datem? I looked it up on Wikipedia and it says that it has something to do with "building a strong gluten network". Does that...
  11. I have to admit that the first couple of times my finace and me went to Sweet Tomatoes here in Raleigh I was pretty "careless" about possible gluten contamination and just picked the stuff which I thought was gluten free until my fiance decided that we should ask them if they knew something about my condition and could tell me about gluten in their food....
  12. Thank you guys for your help!
  13. Hi everyone! I'm a German student residing in North Carolina and I'm not too familiar with the local products. As far as I know declaration laws for ingredients are a bit different here but wheat has to be declared on the package (in the EU all ingredients that contain gluten have to be stated on the package). Now I read that Butterfinger is gluten-free but...
