  1. Anyone have a tenderness (pain when you press on it) kind of pain?
  2. My mother-in-law just told me that there is a small write up in Usa Weekend (insert in newspapers). I have yet to see the printed article but it can be found at usaweekend.com with a search for celiac, for July 9. I did read it and am not sure that telling people "that most people feel better in a few weeks" is that truthful. I would love to hear everyone...
  3. So I am confused? Do they contain gluten and are they safe for us to eat? I have noticed that some manufacturers have already started labeling their products with "contains" etc. but some older products that may have been sitting on shelves do not. The law stated that they did not have to remove all old labels so I wonder when we are going to finally...
  4. Don't worry! I was about 108 pounds when I got pregnant. Your body will do what it has to! I gained 30 pounds also! Just eat as healthy and balanced as you can. I also did not gain any weight for the longest time in my pregnancy. I gained it all closer to the end.
  5. I am taking Rainbow Light once a day prenatal vitamins to try out before I get pregnant. direct link to ingredients: Open Original Shared Link I have tried many different ones (prescription ones and over the counter). They all made me so sick that I ended up just taking Flinstones! No joke! My 2 year old son is doing extremely well. But now that...
  6. I visited the Bravo Restaurant in the North Hills (Pittsburgh) and although they did NOT carry gluten-free pasta, the chef did come over to the table to talk with me. He suggested wheat penne (I almost fainted!) and I kindly explained to him that I cannot have wheat! LOL I ended up getting a chicken dish. I felt a little risky eating here. I am going...
  7. Thanks guys! I have seen the Nature Made products and was unaware that they were gluten-free! I appreciate your input.
  8. I am in search of folic acid. I currently have Rainbow Light prenatals that are gluten-free, but I wanted a single vitamin to take that was just folic acid on the days when I don't take the prenatal. I am not pregnant as of yet but wanted to see what you all would recommend. Thanks!
  9. www.cherrybrookkitchen.com This company makes gluten-free cookie and cake mixes as well as some other baking needs. I made the chocolate chip cookies for a gathering so I could have some dessert. My nephew (who does not need to limit gluten in his diet, ate 10 of them!) They were fabulous. I saw the recipe on here for making your own cookies but if...
  10. I am in search of candy that I can have while being on a gluten-free diet. So far, I have found out that Junior Mints is gluten-free! "We are pleased to be able to inform you that, at this time, all of our confections are gluten, peanut and nut product free. We do not use wheat, barley, rye, oats, triticale, spelt or any of their components and that...
  11. Thank you very much! I appreciate your post. What a great website. Some companies have really done a great job of helping us out! Can't wait to try some of the flavors.
  12. Can anyone suggest ice creams that they know are gluten-free? I have been searching the internet for all of the various sites and they sure make it hard to figure it out. I see a lot of Natural Flavors listed on ice cream. Help! Thank you in advance! (ok, I can't change the header of this one...."ISO safe ice cream" is how it should be!)
  13. My favorite appetizers are: grape tomatoes mozzarella cheese italian dressing (or any kind that you like) Annie's Naturals makes some gluten-free ones Take the grape tomatoes and cut in half, then cube up the mozzarella cheese and place one piece of cheese in the middle of a toothpick with the halves of the grape tomatoes around it. It will look...
