  1. If you're acne doesn't improve within 3 months of gluten-free dieting, then chances are something else is causing it. For some it's milk, for some it's sugar (which usually isn't the case, more like a noceblo effect), and others it's soy. Just try it out and see what's best.
  2. If the tests are done at Quest or LabCorp, my insurance covers it (Alliance PPO). Other than that I doubt the Enterolab would cover it.
  3. Note that an allergy itself is an autoimmune condition, just like celiac and just like you said not everyone gets the same symptoms...just like an allergy. Though note that I never said celiac is an allergy, but making a close analogy. The lowest amount of consumption shown to cause damage is 100mg a day. But this study showed that 4 of the 10 had elevated...

  5. I also should have mentioned I eat 120g of fat and 90g of protein a day as well. Hypoglycemia is more dangerous than hyperglycemia because of possibility of brain damage. Hyperglycemia can be treated with insulin injection or by eating smaller meals and exercise. I wish I had hyperglycemia at this point. You don't realize how bad I feel with impaired cognitive...
  6. If gluten-free doesn't improve your hypoglycemia much, then you may have a thyroid problem. But I have hypoglycemia, which is more dangerous than hyperglycemia. I've been eating a ton of carbs, up to 500g/day, but it doesn't seem to have much of a difference on my blood sugar. I just think my body isn't absorbing it. My intestines are probably so bad I...
  7. But still, people still react to a less severe degree. Like in one case a girl in Canada died while kissing her boyfriend's lips after he ate a peanut butter bar. For me, peanuts causes an unsightly, but non-life threatening and non-serious, rash. I can consume a few peanuts without harm, mostly non processed peanuts, but my body barely reacts to it...
  8. Natrol Contains Wheat This concerns Natrol Digest Support. I just bought a couple from www.vitacost.com It says no Gluten on the website, but right on the packaging it says "...Amylase (from wheat)..." So I hope you guys read it carefully.
  9. I will start ordering from vitacost.com now. Honestly, my problems didn't really start until I started consuming Swanson Vitamins. I can't say for sure they are the culprit for my condition, but I first obught vitamins off Vitacost and had no problems and I was pretty satisfied. But Swanson's prices are practically unbeatable. I mean 250g of Vitamin...
  10. Open Original Shared Link It seems interesting, but of course who would be willing to be a test subject?
  11. But topical gluten shouldn't really affect me since it is not absorbed. I've been checking on my vitamins and such and foods and they are all gluten free (I emailed the manufacturers to make sure). The only thing is that my mother just doesn't understand. She thinks you should eat more of it to outgorw it. Even my eyes roll on top of rolling my own...
  12. That's such a good point. An endoscope is never 20 feet long...or even half that.
  13. Will 40 grams of gluten affect the same person just as .5g would? I know there are some people who are severely allergic to peanuts and can actually die to some who have mild skin reactions...but is this true for gluten?
  14. I asked the same question...GNC lists no gluten, no corn, no soy, no dairy, etc. GNC's prices are MUCH higher, but it's worth it if Swanson isn't telling the truth...especially since their prices are very low (and wheat is very inexpensive).
  15. I've been off gluten, AFAIK, for about 3 weeks now. How long does it take to be relieved of symptoms?
