Hi all. I live in Southern Ma, about ten minutes from Rhode Island so I was curious if anyone had any luck w/ RI docs? I know there's a great center in Boston, but I'm a stay at home mom w/ two young boys and four hour drives to doctor appointments isn't possible right now (stupid traffic). I was gluten free for over a year and a half and then fell off the wagon two months ago when my son was born. I was SO HUNGRY while breastfeeding and at first I didn't have the adverse effects...well they are back - extreme joint pain, abdominal pain, numbness in my hands and feet - I've even had eight cavities spring up since my last checkup six months...

Have you spoken to your doc about having a beta run? If you are 8 days late a hpt (home pregnancy test) should pick it up by now. What brand are you using? Some pick up smaller amounts of HCG than others. Give your OB a call and see what they have to say, it could be the HSG knocked your cycle off a bit, but that's pretty unusual. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and actually just spoke with the manufacturer of my Prenatal Vitamin. Mine was prescribed by my OB/GYN who knows I'm gluten-free so I assumed it was Gluten Free, but this post made me curious. I had called the pharmacist by they didn't know, so I called the manufacturer and they said it contained Sodium Starch Glycolate...
