Family. I have 7 kids ages 2 -18yrs. I enjoy reading, writing, gardening, quilting, out doors-hiking, skiing (snow and water), walks in the country, home decor, sleeping when I get a chance. Unfortunately NOT cooking. Frozen pizza is my specialty so gluten free is going to be a challenge!

My 9 yr old daughter was diagnosed in June 2006. I suspect I might have it, too, along with a couple other of the kids. My husband has an iron gut and no symptoms so he's fine.

1. I have a 12 1/2 yr old daughter who informed me she is now "up" to 70 lbs. She is starting to develop physically but is way behind my other girls physical maturity at this age. I'm afraid that this low wt will affect her long term fertility if we don't correct it pretty soon. She used to drink Carnation Instant Breakfast until they changed the label to possible...
2. Just wondering. My daughter wants some for Christmas.
3. A friend told me that Dora the Explorer cereal by General Mills is gluten free. Has anyone else heard this? Thanks, Carol
4. No one wanted to tackle the bread machine question I asked a few days ago? Fill me in if that was a dumb question. I'm so new to this that I guess I even need to figure out how to ask the right questions. So once again. Is a bread machine recommended? What brand of machine does anyone have and do you like it or not? Thanks. Info would be so much appreciated...
5. I'm wondering if we really need one. My little girl really doesn't eat much but I hate to think of spending almost $5/loaf. I looked at a "Breadman Corner Bakery" at Target yesterday. There is one for around $100 that has a "gluten-free" setting. Does anyone have experience with this? I also looked in a gluten free bread cookbook and the author says she...
6. Every time I try to download a picture from my computer, I get the error message including something about the picture exceeding the limits for my group. What group am I in and why isn't it re-sizing my picture like it says it will.
7. Hi Elizabeth, I'm brand new on this board. My 9 yr old daughter was just diagnosed last week. A friend of mine gave me a bag of white bean flour (she grinds her own beans that she buys in bulk) and some brownies she'd made out of it. She uses it for pancakes, bread and hamburger buns, too. The brownies were really good but when I used the flour for cookies...
