I recently got glutened and now have a break out of DH on my legs. The last time I had DH it was bad but not like this. The affected areas keep leaking fluid. I have lost what I consider to be a lot of fluid. The problem is that it constantly is running down my legs and won't scab over. Has anyone had this problem before and what should i do about it? I don't have insurance yet so I can't go to the doctor unless it is an emergency.

Mine was like that. That fluid is the interstitial fluid being released as cell boundaries break down in the damaged areas. It's gross, but it isn't going to hurt you. Mine used to just run like that also, if you have a good (prescription) steriod cream that will help to stop it. Otherwise (and this is nasty, I know) just try to wear cotton clothes (like sweatpants) and wash them often. I've tried putting gauze on the areas, but all that seems to do is spread it. If you don't have a steriod cream, you should really go to the doctor and get one. They are cheap, I think only like $10-$15 and they help.

      They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

      In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

      This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

      I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
