Awesome Gluten Free Wine Dinner Solas Raleigh Nc

Hi,

I have been diagnosed as Celiac for about 8 yrs now, and my 13 year old son is also as are my mom & sister.

Were really excited when Solas on Sth Glenwood www.solasraleigh.com set up a gluten free wine dinner this week. We had 5 courses, with selected wine and no gluten to avoid. The food was awesome, the wine was delicious, and the folks there did such a nice job. We eat there pretty often so that is how we heard about the wine dinner, if you missed it you missed a real treat. The food is always really good, and very reasonably priced for what you get. Cliff Vogelsberg the executive chef really takes care if you let him know you are celiac.

Can't rave enough about it. I think everyone should know about another option for gluten free, fine dining in the triangle.

      Shingles - Could It Be Related to Gluten/ Celiac

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oh my......will the danger never end? It has seemed like no matter what we do or have done the odds were/are against us. Next they'll tell us that just looking at wheat will be dangerous. Oh well....hang in there.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
