Bolthouse Farms Smoothies

Ok, so was at the store the other day and am noticing major conflicting information on some of the Bolthouse Farms smoothie/juices. Most are clearly labeled gluten free. I noticed on the "green goodnes" bottle it clearly is labeled gluten free, yet it has wheat grass and barley grass as ingredients. According to their website, "Do your beverages contain gluten (a protein found in wheat and other grains)? Our beverages are gluten-free. " Has anyone checked into this yet? I have purchased some of their other smoothies, those that not only have the gluten free label, but also have no gluten sources listed in their ingredients, and have had issues from them.

      Welcome to the forum, @Nita hearn! It's interesting that you should ask this question. I just has an appointment with my dermatologist last week because I have developed a red rash on my cheeks and red bumps/pimples in the bridge of my nose. My wife was concerned that I might have developed rosacea, which she developed years ago. She's not a celiac but I am and I was diagnosed with celiac disease over 20 years ago. This rash is a very recent development, however. The dermatologist was not yet ready to call it rosacea but he did prescribe a antibiotic cream for me (Metronidazole) and an over the counter medicated gel called Aquaphor.  I'm sure you've heard of dermatitis herpetiformis, the classic rash that some celiacs get. But what I have doesn't look like that and there is not itching or discomfort. Dermatitis herpetiformis comes with an intense itch and it has pustules in the center of the bumps. So, I am wondering if I have developed rosacea but not sure at this point. And so far, the two meds prescribed haven't helped but I've only been using them a few days.

      I have recently been suffering with rosacia on my nose and face ,does any one else suffer with this,if so how are they treating it please.?

      I noticed that too! I emailed them to ask if this had always been the case and the labeling changed, or if the manufacturing had changed.  Their answer unfortunately didn’t answer my question. The organization (GFFP) they use to certify only requires ONE test per product! Product must test less than 5ppm gluten, so that is good. I can’t tell from their website if they actually audit the manufacturing facilities like GFCO does. GFFP certification I’ve decided to go to Tierra Farm for nuts.  They are certified by GFCO, which uses a 10ppm standard, but they require more than one lot to be tested, they do audits of manufacturing facilities, and their detailed requirements are available on their website. Unfortunately Tierra Farm nuts are expensive.They have all three nuts/seeds that you mentioned. Their packaging says gluten free facility. GFCO certification

      A combination of Thiamine B 1, Pyridoxine B 6, and Cobalamine B12 relieve pain.   Takeda ALINAMIN EX Plus Vitamin B1 B6 B12 Health Supplementary from Japan  is the brand I get for a convenient, all-in-one pill.  However separate vitamin supplements of each if the three vitamins works just the same.   This works for pain from all sorts of reasons.  I take it for back pain for crushed vertebrae so I know it works well.
