Ok, so I apparently forgot to go to the lab to get my blood withdrawn last week right after I met with the doctor. It was funny. She comes in the room and says.."ok let's take a look at your results!" I'm thinking...."uhhhh..what results, you didn't take any blood from me yet."

After comparing each other's side of the story. I apologised that I must have had severe brain fog on that first visit and she did tell me to go downstairs to get it done. Instead, I walked to the parking lot and drove home. Whoa! Talk about lack of concentration.

So, I went downstairs and they drew blood and I did the urine sample.

Ok...so now I get this clear bag with a rather large white plastic pan to collect my crap at home. Mind you, there's a big festival going on across the street downtown and I have to walk outside past all these people waiting in line with this clear bag holding all these vials and the pan. I asked her, "Naturally you're trying to embarrass me with this clear bag, huh?" She laughed.

Here's my question, though. Should I eat something with Gluten in it before I drop a #2 and collect it?

Or should I just relax and not ingest anything with gluten. I'm thinking maybe they would want to see it reacting...but I'm getting tested for other things besides celiac disease.

How long have you been attempting to be gluten free? If you were gluten free for even a small amount of time that can interfere with test results for celiac.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
