  1. Yes, and you don't have to eat something green to get it. Some foods with red food coloring, for instance, can cause it. Even beets have that effect on me.
  2. That is exactly what I was thinking! I was just explaining to my mom about how I have to be more discriminating about the foods I eat; eating mostly pure foods and less proccessed stuff (I've been having a lot of cc issues) and she began boasting about how she makes gluten-free food for me every time I go to her house, and I finally gathered the nerve to...
  3. Hey thanks for the suggestion! It sounded so good I had grilled cheese and tom soup for supper I had Pacific brand roasted red pepper and tomato soup (also in a carton like Imagine brand), with Foods By George english muffin. I zap the muffin (microwave) for 20 seconds each side, then cut in half, flip the ends over (sliced sides out), butter, stick...
  4. Yes, notice this, from one site: They assume I would want to reintruduce those foods. On one hand, my body treats it like poison, so, why find ways to enable me to eat what my body is rejecting. On the other hand, gluten isn't (normally) poison, so why not find a way to help my body do what it should? I'll think about it. But...
  5. I too am hypoglycemic and my blood sugar is very hard to keep within safe limits when I've been glutened. Dangerously low sugar was what landed me in the hospital and started me on the path to finding out I was Celiac in the first place. I have read, btw, that dogs can sense sugar fluctuations in people (like cancer).
  6. I was so excited to try these since hearing so many here like them. I went to Whole Foods today and bought 2 packages. The first I tried was "Buttery Caramel". Opened it up and broke off a piece and it was Soooooo chewy! the clip to close it says 11006 on it. I assume that means the 110th day of this year it was packaged. Is that correct? Anyone...
  7. There was a pickle coversation here some time ago and it was said that most pickles are gluten-free. Caines was specifically mentioned, as was Vlasic. I just wanted to confirm that all varieties of these 2 brands are safe? I have the Caines Crispy Jumbo Slices - Kosher Dill, and the ingredients say "natural spice flavors" in it. I know the...
  8. I was just going to add this thread for myself. I've been eating Lifestream Buckweat berry waffles everyday and I just opened a new package 2 days ago, and for 2 days I've had trouble. I can't figure anything else in my diet doing it. I've really cracked down on my diet this past month or so and I don't see what else it could be. I'd say it's definately...
