    ARCHIVED Nausea

I get horribly nauseated. The last time I got glutened I spent about 6 hours feeling like I had food poisoning. Usually a couple of acetaminophen makes it better but I was too nauseous to swallow them. Some people were saying that they get hungry and nauseous (odd combination) but I don't get that, I can't even think about food.
  2. Howdy hi! I'm happy to hear that you found the problem and are feeling better. I'm kinda new here too and have found this to be the greatest place for information and support.

    ARCHIVED "the Trigger"

I'm surprised that so many can pinpoint a trigger! Viruses dont' neccesarily produce noticable symptoms and stress -- well, who doesn't suffer from stress. Admittedly, several people here have had some pretty awful stress triggers.

    ARCHIVED "the Trigger"

  6. I've been a vegetarian for about 8 years and I don't think that it's too hard to be a celiac and a vegetarian. However, it sounds like your intolerant to quite a lot of things. If you're a vegetarian for health reasons then I don't see any reason not to eat it. If you're a vegetarian for ethical reasons then maybe start thinking about beans, chickpeas...

    ARCHIVED I'm So Hungry....

Before I went gluten free I felt like I was starving all the time. I couldn't figure why I wasn't gaining a bunch of weight. I was craving sugar all the time, too. Now that I've given the bad stuff (gluten) up, I'm hardly ever hungry by comparison.
  8. I haven't had this for too long (about 6 months) but the one thing that becomes clear now is why I was in the hospital for a couple of days. The doctors thought is was gallstones but my having mono stopped them from operating. After that I figured out a low fat diet wasn't doing anything to help with the painful attacks. This is a bad thing to...
