No I never had the biopsy my doctor said the elevated antibodies and the fact that my symptoms disappeared after going gluten free was enough to diagnose, which is good because I was unwilling to go back to feeling like garbage to have it done -
I was diagnosed with celiac 11 months ago, since I’ve obviously been on a gluten free diet and doing great. When I was diagnosed my antibody levels were around 55 and everything I read said that you could expect the levels of antibodies to go down by about half every six months. Should someone diagnosed with celiac take a multivitamin to combat malabsorption issues? All the research I’ve done seem to have mixed results about whether it’s necessary or not.

Accidental gluten

Yeah I did end up having a reaction sadly, but overall a fairly minor one as far as reactions go, I’m pretty new to this whole celiac thing but I just found out about glidian x and ordered a bottle. Does it work pretty well? -
I bought a breakfast burrito this morning thinking it was gluten free, I prepared it and as I took the first bite it occurred to me to double check. Upon realizing it wasn’t gluten free I spit it out without swallowing it and immediately brushed my teeth and rinsed several times. Mostly just that I was really hoping for a different diagnosis, everything I’ve read seems to say that celiac is very serious and may even lead to increased morbidity.
