  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Hi Susie Is that Dr Barry Peatfied? I done a search and I see he does a clinic not to far away from where i live once every 3 months, although his last clinic was on 7th march so i have just missed it. What testing does he do with you? Is he a proper fully qualified doctor? Would you recommend an appointment with him? Chris
  3. Hi Susie I see your in the UK too. Have you actually found a doctor who accepts candida as a condition. I have been suffering for a few years now and recently been told i have oral thrush, but doctors can't find out why i have it. When i suggest candida overgrowth as apossible explanation they don't want to know. Thanks Chris
  4. Thank you! I do believe that that was the only celiac bloodtest i have had and doctors here in the UK are not very helpful at all really. I just don't know where to go next - i was hoping that celiac disease as going to be my problem because it would have been an explanation for all of my symptoms. I have also had a white cell scan that highlighted possible...
  5. Yes i had been eating wheat at the time of the blood test -I'm still yet to try the gluten free diet. I would prefer to positive diagnosis frst. So does this mkean that i have had all of the blood tests that are recommended? Sorry i'm still confused. Chris
  6. Hi All! I have been having symptoms simiar to those of celiac for over a year now and have been investigated by tow GI's who have both came to the conclusion of IBS. I know that in the UK celiac is often underlooked and that doctors often do not carry out the required blood tests. My recent letter from a GI reads: "Bloods are entirely normal and include...
  7. Hi I gather your from the UK by your reference to the NHS? Where abouts are you from? Just wanted to say..... don't accept the diagnosis of depression. Only you know when there is something wrong with your own body. I have been unwell for over a year now and have not yet got to the bottom of my problems and depression has been suggested as an explanation...
  8. Hi Jay! I was just wondering how your meeting went with the Neurosurgeon? Would be good to know what he said as we both seem to be experiencing similar symptoms. I have my appointment with my new Gi tomorrow so hopefully will get somewhere now. Keep us updated Chris
  9. Hi Jay, I don't know what it would show to be honest, but i still think you could be celiac. I have started with a slightly numb face and brain fog again after a while without it. We both seem to have extremely similar symptoms. I had a full MRI scan last october when i was getting leg tingling, numbess around the body and headaches all day everyday...

  11. I eat a lot of mash potato anyway so that can only be a good thing maybe. Though i'm not on a gluten free diet yet, still just going as 'normal' as i possibly can. I don't see a GI doc until the 29th (remember this is the UK NHS we are going with - always going to wait at least a month). I just hope this guy is better than the last guy who said that there...
  12. Hi Jay, I'm from Newcastle. Thanks for that and yeah i have found Nikki-uk to be extrememly helpful to me. I'm no expert but from what i have read i would say that inflammation in the duodenum would be celiac. I think you should just keep pushing those doctors until you get an official diagnosis. I'm so fed up with them, but i'm still pushing. I'm seeing...
  13. Hi Nikki, Thank you! Like i say it is the people on here who are keeping me sane. I have lost all trust i used to have in doctors. Further questions though..... how can celiac cause pain in the rib cage area including behind the brest bone, under arm, shoulder, back etc? I know how it can cause stomach problems and that vitamin def can cause the bone...
  14. Hi I fullyappreciate your replies. So i still have hope that it could be celiac eh? I don't actually want to try the gluten free diet yet becasue i have an appointment next month with a new GI for a second opinion on my symtoms. Hopefully he may pick it up this time and suggest a biopsy of the small intestine, therefore it is probably worth being on gluten...
  15. Hi all, As some of you are probably aware i have had celiac symptoms since feeling extremely fatigued nearly a year ago with my symptoms including tiredness, D (on and off), regular floting/yellowish/frothy stools, join pain, bone pain, back ache, severe brain fog (although this has cleared up now) and depression/anxiety. When this first started i lost...
  16. Thanks for that Pauliina! I have been unwell with whatever it is for nearlya year now and i am still really no further forward. Had blood tests for everything and anyhting. My symptoms seem extrememly likely to celiac...... including bone pain, tinling down the legs, tiredness. This past year has driven me crazy and i hope to get to the bottom of it soon...
  17. Sorry i don't actually kno what bloody work was negative, all i know is that i have been tested for celiac twice and i have been told that the bloody was ok. I don't take any medication at all yet always have high liver enzymes of a certain type although the doctors say it could be related to the GI saymptoms i have been having for the last year (which are...
  18. Are elevated liver function numbers signs of celiac disease. I have been having symptoms for nealry a year now, but have twice had negative blood work. The only tests that have came back positive are elevated liver enzymes (always come back high) and a white cell scan highlighting possible inflammation of the small intestine. Any ideas any1?
  19. If i had inflamation in the small intestine that was causing damage to the villi would a barium follow through find celiac disease or would it have to be through scope?
  20. Hi all! I posted here about a year ago when i started experiencing many symptoms that seemed to be similar to that of celiac disease. I have had many tests including blood tests for celiacs and they have all came back negative. I had an endoscopy though not through to the small intestine and colonoscopy which showed nothing. I was experiencing a great amount...
  21. I've had negative bloodwork and when i had the endoscopy no biopsy was taken. My GI wasn't even going to do an endoscopy but i kind of persuaded him to. Bit of a waste of time really eh?
  22. Hi all! As some of you are probably aware i had numerous weird symptoms between July-November. I started with constant tiredness and Diahrrea and lost approx 2.5 stones. When the D cleared up i passed bulky stools since with some periods of D and Symptoms which continued to bother me include constant headaches, dizziness, brain foginess and tingling down...
  23. Yeah, i am english. I live in Newcastle!!!!!
  24. Hi all! As some of you are probably aware i have been having numerous weird symptoms for about 4 months now and i am now totally fed up. I started with constant tiredness and Diahrrea and lost approx 2.5 stones and have not felt good since. When the D cleared up i have passed bulky stools since with some periods of D. Symptoms which have continued to bother...
