  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I also discovered that I should be sure of cosmetics other than lipstick because my eyes tend to always tear, esp. in the winter, and some of my makeup will inevitably make it into my mouth (it gets picked up by the tears, and moves to my lips, I would imagine). I had to get really diligent about which products are gluten-free when my gastroenterologist...
  3. Here's some Midol product info from the manufacturer: Thank you for contacting Bayer HealthCare regarding MIDOL Pain Relief Formula. We appreciate your interest in our product. We do not add any gluten to our products. However, we cannot guarantee that our products are 100% gluten-free as this product is produced in a facility that manufactures and...
  4. Here's a response from GNC: Thank you for taking the time to contact GNC. We appreciate your interest in our company. As the largest manufacturer and retailer of nutritional supplements, we understand that customers depend on us for quality products and quality information. The Nordic Naturals, Inc. Complete? 5. Here's Chanel's response to my inquiry re: gluten: Thank you for your inquiry regarding the ingredients used in CHANEL Lipsticks. Ingredient listings are printed on the packaging of each product. I would like to assure you that all CHANEL products are based on ingredients that are universally used by the cosmetic industry. 6. Hello - I did a bunch of emailing to major cosmetic companies and thought I'd share my results. As usual, some are totally vague/non-commital and some are really helpfull. I'll post them from the different companies with topic titles. Here's Covergirl's response: Response (RightNow Administrator) - 01/13/2007 03:43 PM Thanks for contacting...
  7. Have you eliminated grains also? Sounds like there's very little you can eat, but it's helped me.
  8. I'm suffering from this right now and I called my GI doc today. She prescribed magnesium chromate for tonight (it makes me retch, I had to take it before the colonoscopy - and it doesn't work!) and then I start miralax every day tomorrow morning. So sorry I don't have any results to share with you yet, but I will say that I have put off dealing with the...
  9. i hear you on the bloating issue - I hate hate hate that feeling and have dealt with it for a while, even before I was diagnosed and started feeling sick from celiac, I would get it "once a month" if you know what I mean. I also enjoy the feeling after a night of a few cocktails that I am FINALLy free of all that extra fluid that I otherwise carry around...
  10. I am still struggling with diet and symptoms, Megan, but I have to agree with Flowergirl and the Paleo diet. The best I've felt since I first started feeling sick was when I strictly adhered to the Paleo diet. It's not easy, at first, especially if you have any social life whatsoever, but I think it's worth trying. You could maybe try to eliminate one...
  11. I didn't have much discomfort from the gas post-colonoscopy, but I did have alternating chills/sweats for about 3 days afterwards. I mostly was just STARVING after the colonoscopy.
  12. Thanks so much for the responses -- they have been a big help.
  13. has anyone else has a sensitivity to raisins, even though Sun Maid assures me they're gluten-free? I have been eating them assuming it's ok but still not feeling good after. Of course it could be any one of the other 561486745 issues involved w/celiac, but I thought I'd get some feedback before cutting them out.
