I suspect this is the case here.
I tend to agree. Haven't they always been a little 'reserved' when it comes to saying something is gluten-free or not?

I'm not sure about the UK but gluten in toothpaste is not an issue in the US. This thread is 6 years old and I think there was a lot of discussion about Sensodyne toothpaste back when this thread originated - I'm not sure if it was every concretely proven to contain gluten.
Celiacs have loads of dental problems so it could just be your mouth adjusting to your dietary changes.

I am pretty sure the spices are McCormick. I use the garlic powder and ground pepper without issue. Not sure about the minced onions.

I am having a terrible time getting Costco to give me a list of Kirkland brand products that are gluten-free!! I love Costco, but they are being very difficult. They will only tell me by specific product, they won't provide a list. i am almost ready to dump my membership!!
I don't think Costco keeps a gluten-free list. Most Kirkland products are just rebranded mainstream products so you'd have to know if the name brand is gluten-free. For example, Kirkland bacon is Hormel and gluten-free. If you have questions about specific products let us know and we can likely help you out.

Regarding the 200 ppm topic...
When I contacted Willshire Farms about the gluten in their dino chicken nuggets and corndogs, they told me that when they batch tested the level of gluten in their products never exceeded the USDA limit, which is 200 ppm. When their food was tasted by an outside lab, some of their products tested upwards of 1000 ppm, which I assume is due to their shared lines.
Jenny, I think Wellshire Farms gave you bad information. The USDA currently has no policy defining gluten-free in the US. The FDA is recommending the definition be set at 20ppm but that isn't official yet. Either way Wellshire Farms fare exceeds anything acceptable for us and it's quite frustrating!

I believe the standand in the EU was just set this week to 20ppm to be 'gluten-free' and 100ppm for 'very low gluten'. The compliance date is 2012 for manufacturing and labeling changes. I believe wheat starch is still allowed. Here is a link. If you Google it you can find a few more on the subject.
