  1. There are so many things that make me feel sedated and horrible including casein, soy, and fish but some are non-allergens such as meat. Whenever I eat meat, I get the same reactions that I get when I eat casein and soy. I keep thinking to myself that meat isn't an allergen and that it can't be the cause of these symptoms - that I have to be overlooking...
  2. Another thing I'd like to add is that orange juice doesn't seem to do the trick either. Supposedly it's crammed with potassium and sugars, but I think that it's maybe missing the salt?
  3. Uhh, I'm sure I get tons of potassium as I eat tons of spinach, broccoli, meat, fruit, and lettuce as pretty much my entire diet consists of that stuff. Doesn't seem to help, but something in gatorade is definitely doing the trick. The only thing I can think of is the combination of sugar/salt, because there's no way I'm not getting enough potassium...
  4. Well what I've read after doing quite a bit of research is that the sugar and glucose is absolutely essential and is probably the main reason that I'm able to feel such an improvement drinking it. The salt speeds up the absorption of the sugar, which is the main means of osmosis and allows the liquid to cross the intestinal membrane into the bloodstream...
  5. I'd just like to note that I can drink Gatorade/Powerade and feel total improvement. I'm just concerned over the fact that making a sports drink my primary beverage can not be too healthy, then of course maybe I'm better off with the extra sugar/calories instead of being constantly dehydrated because that can't be too healthy either. Gonna give coconut...
  6. It's not just the salt though. Glucose is actually the more important ingredient because it helps the osmosis and absorption inside the intestines. It's the reason that soda and other high sugar drinks are advocated as much better alternatives to water when given to sick individuals who are vomiting/diarrhea due to an acute illness.
  7. Some of the worst symptoms I have that are related to Celiac are those suggesting minor dehydration. Drinking water does absolutely nothing to alleviate these symptoms, but I've noticed that if I drink Gatorade I feel quite a bit of improvement. Dry skin disappears, i start getting tons of saliva in my mouth, eyes water again, and I don't feel as anxious...
  8. If you were diagnosed Celiac and you are eating wheat then it's natural selection at it's finest. On the other hand, I don't see the point in telling a board full of Celiacs about the intricacies of your diet if you weren't diagnosed Celiac. Maybe I'm mistaken, but this is almost like someone going to a peanut allergy forum and making a post saying...
  9. Day 3ish and I feel really good. The dry skin has alleviated itself mostly, and I feel really, really good. Lots of energy. Can't tell if it's the enzymes or whether I'm just feeling good for other reasons. Will keep you guys posted.
  10. Also, I thought that even though salt retains water for your body it denies its use to your cells. Meaning you have a crapload of water in your body that isn't being used for anything, and you can actually dehydrate yourself by drinking too much salt. Same reason people die of dehydration marooned on an island with only ocean water available to them.
  11. Some guy sent me PMs and told me that he also had this issue and that digestive enzymes such as pancreatin helped him tremendously. He wasn't soliciting any particular product, so I went out and gave it a shot. Today is day 1.
  12. Is there any literature out there regarding the inability for damaged intestines to absorb water? Some of my worst symptoms are dry eyes, dry mouth, and dry skin (mostly on my face). I know these symptoms are classic for Sjogren's syndrome but I don't think it's the case with me for several reasons; I think it's more of a dehydration issue. I was tested...
  13. I couldn't tell. This was several months back and he didn't tell me anything as far as the procedure and I didn't know to request a side biopsy. This would be what it most closely resembles. Open Original Shared Link
  14. I've got red blistery bumps along my chest/shoulders and across my back and chest. When I was young, prior to actually start having the IgA response caused by Celiac at 17, I never had a problem with acne or blisters and this skin problem only started appearing afterwards. I went in for a biopsy with a dermatologist to check whether or not it was DH. The...
  15. Well if you read the whole thread there were numerous shills that were outed up at the beginning. All of them (incl. Unclezack) had acct creation dates after this thread was started and all immediately started praising the product with their only posts being in this particular thread.
  16. Gluten free bread isn't as good as normal bread because it lacks the soft and spongey texture that yeast gives. Instead gluten free bread is often crumbly and dry, but I suggest buying Glutino bread and toasting it. It tastes EXACTLY like normal toast, you can't tell the difference. I toast everything that involves sandwich bread. Anyway Glutino has...
  17. Good to know I'm not the only one to think this.
  18. I have no problem with shared boards or whatever. It's not very conspicuous that this thread isn't for celiacs, hell I argued for 3+ pages under that assumption.
  19. We are currently debating in a 4 page thread in the celiac disease - post diagnosis, recovery/treatment(s) forum on www.celiac.com and it's not until the end that Rachel/Zack concedes that this doesn't work on celiacs and that it's only meant for the gluten intolerant. Yet this ENTIRE THREAD is one big advert on a forum OF CELIACS. Most of the people...
  20. I think people in this thread have a very basic misunderstanding of enzymes and their role in the digestion of gluten. Some of the science in this thread is downright wrong and misleading and I'll attempt to clear up what I can. Saliva is a powerful substance that begins breaking down food and preparing it for digestion by using amalyse and salivary lipase...
  21. What medical journal was this published in? Who conducted it? ...and above all else, why was there no control and no placebo?
  22. I'm done with this thread. Fair warning was given, if there are people out there that want to buy into this guys sham after all evidence was given (especially, that this company is run by a guy with a history of fraud) then by all means waste your money. You'd think people would wake up and understand that not everyone is honest, and sometimes people...
  23. accidental double post
  24. Did Unclezack really call us flat earth bashers? Wow. Look rachel, I don't think you're a shill but Unclezack is... Why is not banned? Everything this guy has posted has been an advertisement for this company, his private website advocates using Glutenease for those celiacs who don't WISH to follow the lifelong diet (re: Tom's reply which points this...
  25. Here's a quick article about the company that makes Glutenease, Enzymedia. From the Charlotte Sun:
