    Thank you all so much for your responses. I will keep monitoring my son and watch out for any strange behavior/symptoms. And I will also try to find alternatives to all the wheat based snacks he eats just in case he ever has to go gluten-free one day. He does eat a lot of wheat. When we see the pediatrician I will ask about the gene testing too.

    My son has already gained back the weight he lost without going gluten-free in less than a week. Other than that 1 pound he lost he has never lost weight before or had trouble gaining.     I'm really curious to know what the chances are the my baby will have or develop Celiac. Does anyone know? I would also like to know how long do I have to wait before I can get my baby tested. I would like to keep him/her away from gluten for awhile just in case but then I would have to give them a steady diet of gluten to get them tested right?

    I'm about 8 weeks pregnant and I am constipated. From what I hear this is a common occurance during pregnancy. I have severe stomach cramps because of it that are very uncomfortable.     Hello all, I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I want to try and prevent stretch marks. I've heard that coco butter is the best thing to use but so far the couple of creams I've looked at contain wheat.     When you were orginally being tested for Celiac, what kinds of tests did they do? I have been reading about all these tests like a malabsorbtion test and a gene test and some others that I never did. All I had was an endoscopy and a blood test.     I live in Edmonton and I eat at Wendy's almost everyday for lunch since it's just down the street from where I work. I eat chili, fries, baked potatoes, and salads (sesame dressing has soy sauce therefore wheat so stay away).     I'm originally from TBay!! I currently live in Edmonton but am thinking of moving back to be close to family. One thing that has kept me from moving is that Thunder Bay (being a smaller city than Edmonton) will have less people that know about Celiac. Do you have any problems finding gluten-free foods or restaurants that you can eat in?

    I was diagnosed with Celiac in March and I never even knew that there was a tax credit! It sounds like way too much work and hassle though so I won't be doing it.     That list with all the gluten-free drinks is very helpful, however it doesn't list if Tequilla Rose or Baja Rosa are gluten free. Does anyone know? I always get Tequilla Rose as a shot when I go to the bar so I hope it's gluten-free.

You can only take a maximum of 15 weeks and you only receive 55% of your wage, which is not enough for me to pay the bills.
