  1. I have had a constant pain in my stomach for 8 months and it hardly gets better to the point that i do not notice it. I wake up in the morning and go to sleep with the same pain. I have been gluten free now for 1 month and the pain is as bad a before. I hope it completely goes soon. I know it could be a while.... During the biopsy the noticed that my...
  2. My partner does not do the celiac diet and thought this question might be a valid one. She eats alot of bread and when she drinks she has larger. Would kissing her cause me problems after she consumes gluten, or am i over-reacting? What about when she brushes her teeth?
  3. You will probably be laughing at this moment. I am looking to make bread (i love bread) but the silly question is does it have to have yeast in it. I want to cut out yeast for candida sake and see if it helps. Any thoughts?
  4. I have had a biopsy and that came back negative, i had a spell of not eating gluten for about a 2 weeks then a week of eating gluten before the biopsy. They said my duodenum was inflamed and the folds had reduced alot. I have had a blood test but awaiting for the results. Pretty sure that will come back negative as not been eating gluten for the test.
  5. Well it has been 9 months since my stomach first started hurting. Before that I have had 2 spells with the same stomach pain with years between them. I must say that the first one happened about 6 years ago. I have always been a keen bodybuilder although i did not do much weight training. I had always been slim until i started eating enough food to build...
  6. There shouldnt be any trouble with lotion etc because the pool is indoors
  7. HA HA, over here in the UK it'll never happen Thanks for the response tho
  8. Lately i have started doing alot of swimming and just wondering if there are any problems with swimming pool water and stuff they put in the water? I also go in the sauna and jacuzzi but cant see much problem with these.
  9. I have read in some post mentioning the SCD Diet. What is this? I need to heal my intestines so would like someone to help point me in the right direction. Thanks Jason
  10. Mtndog, did you flatten your duodenum aswell (no folds). i am just trying to find someone who has been in the same boat as me.
  11. Chris E, I am also in the uk, sunny blackburn. I have all the tests done under the sun and have still not been diagnosed with anything. My latest results have shown inflamation of my duodenum which i have no idea what else it could be. I would suggest registering with celiac uk to get the pack that they send out. It is very useful and dont know what i...
  12. When i had my biopsy of my duodenum they said my duodenal mucosa had flattened. When i saw they photo i could quite clearly see the folds had reduced to ALOT. Almost smoothe. After being off gluten will my duodenum heal itself to full working order. I understand that this is where alot of the breakdown of food occurs so must be a very important to the digestive...
  13. Just an update, I have just come back from the doctor and was very annoyed that the hospital are not doing as requested. I have been in for blood test for celiac disease and a biopsy in my stomach for helicobacter pylori. Everytime i go in the just run tests on other stuff even though i make sure before hand what they are testing for. Anyway, they now...
  14. Thanks for your reply Ursa Major and everyone else. U understand what your are saying by catching the flattening of the villi in time. By the photo that they showed me and the observation they made of the duodenum. It has no folds at all. I would have thought the folds flattening would have happened after the villi flattened. i might be wrong
  15. Jess, scope was 2 weeks ago down my mouth. Can see diverticular of the bowel in the same test. would have to come up the rear for that one. I was diagnosed by CT Scan
  16. so there is only a physical exam, surely bloodwork would not pinpoint anything. I have bloodwork done 3 time in 7 months and in all 3 my white and red cells were fine. just just tells them that there is no infection in my body in nothing to worry about. I dont think it will detect the inflamation
  17. What you said about a cbc and a physical exam to pinpoint the pain is very interesting. Thats exactly what i want. I know where my constant pain is (just under the top left rib). I just need to know where the diverticular are. This is what i could not get out of the doctors. Is there any way other than camera to tell where the pain is coming from?
  18. Cathy, you hit the nail on the head. "something has to cause the inflamation". I am positive i am negative, just found out today. I believe I have celiac disease but the diet i had leading to the biopsy was gluten free and a week before the biopsy i ate gluten. I only strictly went free for 2 weeks. I was eating a healthy diet on finding i had trouble with...
  19. WOW....7mm would be pretty large of a pocket!! You sure need to be careful. I don't think they counted my pockets when they did my scopes. However, I DO have pictures of them! ha Add THOSE to the photo album "and here is a picture of my colon" When I had my scopes they told me I have the intestines of an 80 year old!! Right now I am not allowed much...
  20. Carla, the thing is how do i know it is celiac disease or not just a wheat intolerance. Do they both not have similar symptoms?
  21. Hi Jess, u made my blush. Thanks for your reply. On looking at your topics i came across this one. Believe it or not i too have diverticular disease. Although not diverticulitis, and hopefully never get to that stage. My diverticuar are in the transverse colon, The bit between the acending and decending. This was my first diagnosis for the problems im having...
  22. Today i recieved my biopsy results and they were NEGATIVE. They just said my duodenum was inflamed. I have been run down for 8 months now, also had alot of weight loss and neuro symptoms and constant bloated stomach (like something is stretching, visable distention) thats why im finding it very strange. They said it could be nothing else other than celiac...
  23. Is there anyone out there who takes Cell-Tech. I am dying to go back on to help with my training and weight gain. I really hope it is gluten free
  24. Is it normal for your joints to hurt after going gluten free. I have been free for a few days now and my thumb joint is really sore and has been for 3 days. I almost feels like arthiritis, could it be that i am not getting enough vitamins and minerals. Will the pain stop? When? I had started back weight training but this makes it very difficult to lift...
  25. Regarding the cross contamination i was more worried about the glasses not being washed to a great standard. Especially in dish washers that may use the same water than used to wash glasses that had beer in them
