I totally understand what you're saying. It is so hard to just give up gluten. Especially when everyone around you is eating everything you desperatly want to eat. But, it really is necessary to stop eating gluten. My friend's mother ate gluten all her life with no pains or anything, then all of the sudden she started having night blindness and memory loss. They finally figured out what it was. The good thing is you can avoid a lot of pain and possible problems in your future. You know what the problem is, this is just the treatment. It really is hard, you just have to remember that you have a disease and you have to take care of your body

When my family has food on the grill, they cook everything on the same one. We have had the same, gas powered, grill since before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I am the only one in my family with it and I was wondering if it is okay for....well for example, my hot dogs to be cooked on the same grill as rolls. Even if my dad makes hot dog rolls the night before then makes BBQ chicken the next night. I was just wondering if there can be any contamination. Thank You for taking the time to read and maybe respond to this.

I'm 15 years old and have been gluten free for 11 months now. But, I have just recently started having sleep problems:
I will be tired all day, and all night. I will be reading in bed or watching tv, decide it's time for bed, then when I am actually lying down, trying to fall asleep, I can't. All of the sudden I'm not tired anymore. So, after trying to sleep for about an hour I finally fall asleep. When I wake up, I don't feel refreshed and during the day I am tired and irritable. So, my question is, is this celiac related, teenager related and is it something I should contact the doctor about? Is there sleeping disorders linked to celiac disease?
