  1. Yes, I'm pretty sure it was from some rogue gluten that I somehow ingested. After a while, I get real lazy about the peanut butter jar, the toaster, the butter dish, etc. But now I'm back to being vigilant and I think I'm ok now. (Although those spots do seem to take forever to heal!)
  2. I think I get a "warning sign" like you. My mouth and nose (well, just at my nostrils) BURN like crazy! That's how I know I've been accidentally glutened. And I do get a burning sensation around the place where the blisters pop up, but about a day or so before they arrive. Fun, huh?
  3. Oh my gosh! That is exactly how I would describe my skin issues! You nailed it! Mine is pretty concentrated on my scalp, but right now I also have some spots on my elbows, arms and face. I haven't been on any meds for DH b/c I've been trying to get pregnant for 7 years. Does anyone know of any "home remedies"? I've been taking benadryl; it makes me...
  4. Hi All, I know this topic has been discussed in the past, but things change (restaurants close, stores move, etc)... anyway, we're travelling to OBX (Duck) for the first time in 2 weeks. Does anyone know of any gluten-free restaurants or stores that sell gluten-free foods? I'm especially interested in frozen stuff--it's so expensive to order frozen...
  5. Josh- that's one of my symptoms: about one day after eating gluten (even a tiny amount) I get joint & bone pain (among other symptoms). It does feel like you're coming down with a flu. I hope you're better today.
  6. Great Topic! Thanks! 1. Explosive, painful D 2. Mouth and nostrils burn 3. Headache 4. Joint & bone pain 5. Bloating & pain in stomach
  7. Hi Everyone, I don't know what's going on with me, I'm hoping you can help! I've been strictly gluten-free for over 6 years. (I was dx'ed by both labs & biopsy) For the past few months, I've had MAJOR episodes of D, with horrible abdominal pain, bloody stools (sometimes it looks like pure blood), sweats, etc. The episodes last at least 2...
  8. Along those lines.... I was getting super painful pimply-things on my scalp that were driving me crazy. Just for the heck of it, I checked my shampoo ingredients..sure enough, TRESEMME has WHEAT in its shampoo! grrr
  9. Hi! I'm new here so I'm sorry for posting so late-I don't know if anyone's even reading this thread still...anyway, when I've been "glutenized" my lips and the inside of my nostrils (weird, huh?) start burning, then the rash happens the next day or two. Adding to the list of odd things that cause a DH reaction: Aleve (the medicine) It has sent me screaming...
  10. Angel, I'm so sorry this is so hard for you. Some of it may be hormones, but you have every right to feel angry and even to feel sorry for yourself. I've been gluten-free for 6 years and I still hate it! I'm sure you've done lots of searches, but do even more to find food you like and can eat. When I'm feeling hungry and deprived is when I...
  11. Hi Everyone! Does anyone have any recipes for using Hodgson Mill Multi Purpose Baking Mix? I know there are a few recipes on the box, but I was looking for even more. Thanks so much!
