  1. hi. I just want to say thanks to everyone who helped me in the past. I need your help once more! Okay, so when I was first diagnosed, I was instructed to avoid gluten. At first, I felt fine off of gluten, then I slowly began to develop even more intolerances as the months passed. Since my diagnosis a year ago, I have been found to be intolerant to...
  2. I'm pretty sure it was the barilla sauce. But anyway, I feel fine now. I only had D once since eating it.
  3. Yea, it might not have been gluten now that i think of it...I only had D once since lastnight, and I basically feel back to normal now . Might've been acid, who knows .
  4. Well, i'm also pretty sensitive to soy, but I did not read anything on the lable implying that there was soy in the product. Thanks guys, that might explain my question . hehe. No more barilla sauces for me.
  5. I made some pasta tonight, and normally, would use del monte or hunt's. I decided to try out Barilla pasta sauce because it did not list anything I was allergic to. I am allergic to soy, and both Ragu and classico have soy in them. So I ate my pasta with the barilla sauce, 2 hours later, my body had started to become shakey and my stomach hurt. Then I had...
  6. Hi everyone. I just want to say thanks for helping me whenever I needed it. I would be lost without this site. So thanks, for helping me achieve better health. My twin brother (I am female, he is male) has been suffering from stomach problems for years and years, since he turned 15. He was diagnosed with crohn's disease at age 15, and he is 21 right now...

I know exactly how you feel. I lived with a mom that was like yours, and sometimes worst. It took me an entire year to feel 100% better, I only started feeling better when I left. My mother used to tempt me with all kinds of gluteny foods as well. And sometimes, she would indeed put gluten in my food without me knowing...And when i'd get sick, she would just...
  8. Ok...I was hoping to get a better answer but that will do...I can't really afford to buy vitamins until like a week from now, and since getting off of centrum a week ago, I feel a little 'down'. I eat alot of fruit and veggies and stuff to get the vitamins I don't get from the Nature Made pill I take. It only gives calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin D....
  9. I just recently got off Centrum vitamins because I don't know if it has gluten in them or not. I never got a reaction to Centrum. I'm taking Nature Made calcium, magnesium, zinc, vitamin D pill, but I would like to take a multivitamin with these. I like Centrum and I wanna know for sure if it is safe for us to use. Their site says there is no gluten, but...
  10. I don't have any younger siblings. I have older siblings who are all becoming just as careless as my mom when it comes to my health issues. It's really making me angry. I sometimes wonder if maybe this is being done on purpose so I can stay at home and be reliant on her. Well so far, it's working. No matter how much I talk to anyone in this house about...
  11. Thanks for all the responses guys. I was really busy for the past few weeks, trying to get all of my things packed etc. The bad news is I may have to stay here a little longer than i'd like to because of some personal issues, which is really upsetting. My mom has been really immature about my situation these days and it's just driving me nuts. She keeps...
  12. The reason I havent moved out yet is because my mom goes crazy every time I bring it up...I try to keep her in the best mood possible, and I know that the day that I do walk out of here, it's gonna be scary...I've put it off for 2 months because i'm not looking forward to all the drama (And I mean, its gonna be bad...Real bad) I have an older sister...
  13. Yea, I think my mom might be suffering from undiagnosed Celiac disease. She has rashes all over her body, she has loose stools, and a ton of neuro problems to list a few. I want to help her and it seems pretty much impossible at this point. She has deliberately contaminated my food, grabbed food from my plate without asking and without washing her hands,...

  15. My mom thinks that me and my male twin ( he was stricken with chron's and I believe he may have celiac disease too) are cursed by the devil, because we are the only two in our family that we know of with auto immune disease...We tried explaining to her that these things obviously run in our family (Diabetes is pretty high on my father's side of the family...
  16. Yea, I think this rash has something to do with the detergent. The family uses ALL brand...My mom refuses to change it...So i'm gonna have to wait till I get out of here in less than 2 months. My boyfriend is extremely familiar and even follows a gluten/casein/soy free diet, just to maintain his diabetes and general health. I told him about the soap, detergent...
  17. I take a 2 mile walk every couple of days. I have to, since I don't have a car atm. I'm gonna go to the doctors at the beginning of april to see what else is up. I know that too much salt can screw up my skin, so i eat little to none. I'm really skinny, always have been, but i've gained weight in the past couple of months, like 5 lbs or so. My boyfriend...
  18. I've cut out dairy, soy, gluten, everything processed, I have my own pots, pans, knives, cooking utensiles, cutting board, sponges, rags, dish soap, can opener, I changed shampoos, I have my own storage area for dried foods, pots and pans, And I have my own little compartment in the fridge. I still feel bad! I eat nothing but meat and veggies, and I still...
  19. I removed dairy from my diet back in september (I saw some improvements but no entirely) But I can definitely relate to you. Alot of Celiacs have problems with dairy at the beginning. I just recently removed soy like a few days ago and saw improvements, I feel almost normal again. I eat fruit, veggies, meat, fish, rice, beans, and nuts. If you've already...
  20. My entire family practically dismisses my problem every time. They don't take any precautions to help me out. My boyfriend is the only person who will sit down and listen to me when I have a problem concerning celiac disease. I don't mind if someone doesn't understand, but if it is affecting my health like it has been recently, it's a real problem.
  21. I am gluten free and the rest of my family is not. I have my own pots, pans, knives, and wooden spoons and cutting board. We wash all of the dishes together in the dishwasher. I hadn't really thought about it until now but could I possibly be getting contaminated by one of my pots? I bought a few new pots later in my diet. One of the pots is about 6 months...
  22. I saw a list of VO5 products that did contain gluten and I did not see this one on the list. Does anyone know of this specific product?
  23. Okay. So while I was looking up info on celiac disease, I realized that almost every site i've referred to, it explains that it predominately affects White Europeans. What bothered me the most is that I am half African American and half European, and I still managed to get this disease. Hehehe. So much for that. But what has really been bugging me is that...
  24. I am a bit stumped on a product that i've been using for a month. I changed my shampoo, hand soap, dish soap etc. And I changed my hair dressing as well. I purchased a product called Blue magic conditioner hair dress because the ingredients didn't seem suspicious...I tried to get info on it but there is very little. Is anyone familiar with this product and...
  25. My family refused to alter their lifestyle for my sake. They don't clean the counters, they get bread crumbs everywhere, they don't even think twice about it. I have to re-clean everything in the house before I use it. No one understands what I go through if I get gluten in my body. They think it's all in my head, and they think i'm obsessed with being gluten...
