  5. Has anyone had any problems with this? I had 1 tsp last night and was up all night. It was the only thing that I had different. I have never eaten it before. There website states that basically although there lines are cleaned between batches there is a possibility of cross contamination. Are nut butters run on lines? Sorry, if these are dumb questions...
  6. Please, please someone give us some ideas...lol. I am dying for a soy, dairy, gluten-free hot chocolate. I would love to try the coconut milk hot chocolate.
  7. Thank you for that. That really helps. At least I know that when I do it I need to make sure it's a long weekend and nothing important coming up. I do need to do it though for my own peace of mind.
  8. I have had acne all my life and I still struggle with it at times but it has gotten so much better since I stopped the soy and dairy. As far as products I use cetaphil face cleanser to clean my makeup off. I use witch hazel as a toner and coconut oil as a moisturizer on my face, legs, and arms. I try to stay away from non-natural products if I possibly...

  10. What happened? Was it a really intense reaction?
  11. Okay, here is my dilemma. I have been gluten free for close to 70 days now and I do feel better but nothing really extreme. I am not a diagnosed celiac but I have all the symptoms and also have an uncle that is a diagnosed celiac. There are a few times that I think I have been glutened because of joint pain, fatigue, eyes swollen, low body temperature...
  12. I thought I saw on here the other day that there was a pizza place in Dallas that served gluten free. Can someone please help me? For some reason I can't find it on here but swear I saw it. Thank you, Michelle
  13. Outback Steakhouse and Carraba's both have gluten-free menus. I have eaten at Outback one time with no problems.
  14. OK, so last night I made chicken and dumplings for dinner made from coconut flour and it was so good. But, I think the chicken broth might have contained gluten. After, I ate my knees started hurting, my stomach was upset, and I couldn't sleep almost all night. Has anyone had a bad experience with Dominique's chicken broth. I knew I was taking a chance...
  15. I just bought the book this past weekend. The chicken and dumplings were awesome! The vanilla cupcakes were really good although not really light and fluffy. More like a muffin than a cupcake. The vanilla frosting was awesome!
  16. I had the same thing happen...Cleared up when gluten free. I am 9th day casein free and have had quite a breakout. I was wondering the same thing. I am hoping it is just withdrawal of some sort and that it will clear up.
  17. I have been gluten free for 34 days now and feel a little better. No joint pains, less fatigue, able to sleep, etc. I started the Casein free diet 9 days ago and lost a couple of pounds but really haven't felt too much different. I did break out on my face when I started the CF and it is slowly getting better. So, I was thinking that maybe I was not intolerant...
  18. Thank you for all the replies. I finally switched my shampoo and conditioner to Dove. I use Garnier Fructis Hairspray, ivory soap, and coconut oil for lotion. I Cetaphil to clean my face and witch hazel for a toner. I use Bare Essentials cosmetics. Does anyone see any problems with any of this? Also, any suggestions for a lipstick? Thank you for any...
  19. didn't feel better until you addressed issues with CC, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc? I have been eating gluten-free for eight days and felt great the first couple days and seem like I am back to the way I was now but I noticed last night that my shampoo contains wheat. So, that makes me wonder if that is holding back progress. Is there anyone who when...
  20. Thank you for the reply's. It really helps in motivating me to stick with it. I can't wait for the two week mark.
  21. I suspect that I have some kind of gluten intolerance so I have eliminated it from my diet. Over the years I have had so many different symptoms that seem to go right along with Celiac disease and I have an uncle that has been diagnosed with it. Today is my 6th day. I felt great the first couple of days even though had a slight headache both days but now...
  22. Okay here is the response I got from my Anatomy & Physiology Instructor. Good morning Michelle, Since microvilli are an extension of the cell membrane, they will be whatever color the cell membrane is. The only cells that have true color (not man made) are those with pigment (colored molecules, i.e. hemoglobin, melanin, and chlorophyll). Other...
  23. No, I haven't had any type of testing done. I suspect I have a problem with gluten but am not positive. I have so many unusual symptoms that I suspect has something to do with gluten. The little black specks are just one. I am so curious if the black specks are what I think it is. That would confirm to me there is a problem. I am having a lot of trouble...
  24. Okay, I have been wondering this for awhile now and I am just gonna ask. I haven't been able to find any info about it and these boards have been a wealth of information. This might seem stupid but what color is microvilli? Does it come out into your poop? I get these little black flecks and I always wonder if that's what it is. Please tell me what...
