  1. My husband and I had a very small wedding. Just the two of us in a little chapel. If I did it now I would have our parents there, but it was not right for the circumstances at that time. The only thing I regret is having no pictures of my wedding day. The marriage is more important than the wedding in my opinion. Not to mention a lot of couples start...
  2. Your not alone. I have always felt either starving or full. The whole "eat till your satisfied" things gets under my skin because there does not seem to be any in-between.
  3. Wow Thanks for all the advice. I went back to the Doc yesterday and had a hydrogen breath test which was positive for a bacterial overgrowth. I don't really know what it means, but the nurse is gonna call me next week and talk to me about it. I am still very serious about going gluten-free but having a hard time figuring out what I need to eat. Plan to...
  4. I agree that diet is the most important thing right now. That is why I'm having trouble finding anything to eat at the moment. My Doc said to cut back on Coffee and cokes but I am cutting them out completely. I'm just to afraid to keep having them. A celiac biopsy was taken and came back normal. I guess I should have stated that. I was very surprised that...
  5. I got the results of my Colonoscopy and EGD. I don't have celiac disease but I do have Barrett's esophagus. I'm so scared. One of the symptoms I hoped going gluten-free would help would be my anxiety but now I don't feel like I have any hope of the anxiety letting up and then add a diagnosis like Barrett's and I can't get control of myself. I've tried...
  6. My heart sank when she told me that. It was like she was saying you'll always have that pain and theres nothing you can do about it. Under my ribs on the left side is exactly where I hurt a good portion of the time. Apparently there is a sharp turn in your colon right there and our short waists scrunch it up even more.
  7. Hi! I posted a few questions here a month or so ago. I had my EGD and colonoscopy today. Heres what I know... The paper they gave me said everything was normal. She did not say anything about hemorrhoids even though the reason my Internist wanted the test was because there was blood in my stool. I found that strange. Can Gluten intolerance cause blood...
  8. First off I want to thank everyone who took the time to reply to me. This stuff is all very new and scary and advice from people with experience sure does help. I went to my internist yesterday for a follow up. My platelets have gone back up to normal! I mentioned a lip rash that I get from time to time to him and he immediately suggested I go off milk...
  9. I appreciate all of your replies. I'm very excited to get this EGD over with because I think I'm gonna try to go gluten free after it's over. I feel like I've tried everything else. If it doesn't work at least I gave it a shot. Eating a high fiber diet has been on the top of my list to help me with the Constipation, but after days of forcing down Fiber...
  10. I was just wondering if anyone who had Celiac had the pain where I do. I'm trying to decide if I should bring it up with my internist who I see on the 15th or just ask the GI to take samples for it. On a different note, does anyone remember if the colonoscopy and EGD are extremely expensive? I only have to pay part of it but I'm wondering how bad it may...
  11. I've been reading quite a bit on Celiac but I still have many questions. I understand that abdominal pain is a symptom but where in the abdomen does it cause pain and is it sharp or dull? I figure Celiac may be an unlikely fit but what do I know? I went to my internist with complaints of upper left abdominal pain (dull and achy) gas, constipation and...
