  1. Looking at going to the Cayman Islands. Has anyone been there and know if the stores and resturants can accomodate? Thanks!
  2. I too am looking at going, have you found out anything?
  3. Hello All, I am getting ready to travel to Lawrence Kansas and was hoping to find a sushi resturant to meet some friends at. Anyone know a place with gluten free sushi in the area? Thanks
  4. Great idea on the food diary, I think I will try that too. My name is Heather, I am pretty new to this as well. Was DX Celiac last September and have been gluten-free ever sense. I have been feeling better, but still have stomach problems off and on. Have been contimplating totally giving up dairy (uuugh) but am dreading it. However, if it will help me heal...
  5. I got diagnosed last fall, and we decided as a family to switch to totally gluten-free. My kids don't complain too much (who knew My Little Pony Snacks would be gluten-free), and my husband can go out to lunch and get his wheat bread fix. When we had gluten in the house I was always worried every time I touched a light switch, the TV remote, the sink spout...
  6. I too have had GREAT luck at the Pancake House. We have eaten there several times with our two kiddos and have not gotten sick. Also, they will do takeout orders which is helpful. Also, the Blue Bonnet is AWESOME. I have not found another Mexican place to eat at. I saw the comments about the Rio. Has anyone else tried it, or know of any other mexican places...
  7. This looks like good info. My family is planning a trip in 3 weeks to Maui, and it will be my first traveling experience since being diagnosed Celiac. I have t wo young girls, anyone know of some more "family friendly" places that could accomodate? Thanks!!
  8. This looks good...did they carry gluten-free pasta? Any CC issues to ask about? Thanks!!
  9. Thanks for the good information. My family is going to Maui in 3 weeks, and it will be my first time traveling since getting diagnosed Celiac last fall. I have a 4 year old who has the Celiac gene and is also eating gluten free. Did you come across any more "kid friendly" places that we might have luck at? Thanks!!
  10. Hi, I was just diagnosed with Celiac in August and am going to downtown Friday night. Does anyone know any safe breakfast spots in downtown they would recommend?
