okay, new "symptom." I have blood blisters forming on the tips of my fingers. They are under about 3 or 4 layers of skin. Some are liquid blood and others are what looks to be dried blood. I have not been pinching my fingers. So now I am randomly developing pools of blood under my skin. Yeesh! I wouldn't know if work or school has changed anything such...

Okay so about a month ago, my DH started coming back and I have checked everything. I am gluten-free. 3 weeks ago, a canker sore popped up. The first one is now finally healing, but 2 more are now present so literally the only thing I can eat is applesauce. I take multivitamins and I can drink juice and milk and water. All other drinks are KILLER on the sores...

I have been gluten-free 2 years now. I did not realize that ibuprofen could affect it, much less iodized salt! I was told since I naturally have low potassium to use sea salt. As for ibuprofen, I have needed it alot lately...i cant use tylenol because it doesn't work at all for me. Should i try a few days ibuprofen free?

thank you for explaining that to me. that's what i thought, but she swears her doctor said something else.

I probably should have mentioned that I have not been eating much as of lately...depression sucks. The loss of appetite from depression and the horrible reaction I get EVERYTIME i eat ANYTHING combine to be a reason why I have cut back on my eating...Canker sores all over my mouth don't help either. When I eat, no matter what I eat, I feel queasy and gassy...

Okay so I'm really getting upset and my mom is even worried. Since the beginning of December, odd things have been going on. I get hayfever attacks so bad my eyes turn bloodshot, solid red. My anemia has randomly flared up. I have acid indigestion, bad gas, and ulcers. not to mention 3 canker sores so far this week. I have a horribly sore throat and cough...

I am NOT saying that I am pregnant because I am NOT. But a good friend of mine is married with 3 kids and we got on the subject of pregnancy and all the freak things that can happen... and she told me something... she said when she conceived her youngest son, she took home pregnancy tests and they were negative. She did a pee test in a hospital that was negative...

ARCHIVED Already A Pill?

lizard00-thanks for clarifying. i think it is glutenease. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has heard of it. Honestly it sounded too good to be true and was too expensive to just try it out. Besides, the question in the back of my head was, "what if it only masks the symptoms and the damage still occurs?" killernj13-it probably is one of the products that... -
I am a senior in high school in a work at your own pace school. I have been on various ADD meds for 2 years after struggling a year in school with no luck. I turned 19 over the thanksgiving holidays and since that birthday my prescription insurance will not authorize my refills of my ADD meds. They say it needs a prior authorization from my doctor, which...

My diet is as follows: I eat no breakfast. I just have a glass of milk in the morning. Breakfast causes me to be sick all day so I have skipped it for over a decade now. Lunch depends on if I'm eating at school or home but a rough idea would be salad at school (lettuce, tomato, cheese, and dressing), and either almond flour breaded chicken or gluten...

ARCHIVED New Food Allergies?
minton replied to minton's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I have not tried eating a regular unprocessed tomato. I have a few cherry tomatoes in the fridge...perhaps I will try a salad when I get home...The ulcer is also improving with the treatment so 2 theories can be tested at once...if I react, I will test again when the ulcer is gone. Not looking forward to getting sick again though... -
I have been gluten-free for 2 years now. But I still have problems. I just looked up Candida and the list of symptoms seemed to fit alot of mine...so here are my remaining symptoms since gluten-free diet: -intestinal gas -ADHD, not helped by gluten-free diet -bone pain -shrinking (yes, I have shrunk 4 inches!) -headaches -fatigue -sinus problems (I...

ARCHIVED Already A Pill?
minton posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Okay so I have this favorite local health food store that carries tons of gluten-free food but also millions of herbal supplements. Well, like most stores, I've been there hundreds of times and still not seen everything they carry. But I took my friend there the other day and we found this pill...It claims that it provides a chemical/hormone/something... -

ARCHIVED New Food Allergies?
minton posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Okay so I haven't posted in a while. But here's the deal. I am 100% positive I am not even getting CC glutened. My DH is back. And about 3 weeks ago I started getting extremely sick and I'd throw up after almost every meal. About 2 weeks ago, an event in my life caused me to become depressed and lose appetite so I haven't been eating much... This is what... -

Prior to diagnosis I had many hospital trips and all of them said my electrolytes were off. I'm telling you that since I was about 10 my electrolytes have been off despite drinking gatorade and plenty of water daily. My own mom stopped believing me that I was drinking enough. Since diagnosis, I have only had one attack of electrolyte related chest pain (the...

ARCHIVED Shrinking

I do not believe I am hypermobile. I can't be sure though. I was in gymnastics when I was younger and if I'd stuck with it, I would've excelled (coach told mom that but I wanted horses haha). Started riding horses at age 10 and was told I had a natural gift for it but that didn't involve any severe stretching...It did aggravate my knees...I was told about... -

ARCHIVED Anyone Unemployed Or Divorced Because Of Celiac?
minton replied to mrmachinist's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I almost lost my first job because I was supposed to work thursdays and thursdays at school were chicken days...the breading made me sick and I'd go to the doctor every thursday for 3 years. One would think they would've caught celiac then! My next job was at a sub shop and they fired me because my mom brought me lunch (their food at minimum had modified... -
ARCHIVED Does The Spouse Really Understand
minton replied to Mally-bug's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I was in the same boat...when I first met my fiance, he tried to give me a hot dog on gluten bun. He thought at first I was beinga stuck up prick and a health food nut. I had to explain it and show him this site, but he got it. His mom already understood a little. She said they both (she and her son, my fiance) had fibromyalgia and their doctor had suggested...
