I am using rice flour for my breakfast breads.I want to know if you absolutely have to use rice flour or can you use another flour in its place.For instance,if a recipe calls for x amount of rice flour and x amount of tapioca flour,can I use a different flour in place of the rice flour?I just cannot get accustomed to the "sandy" feel of rice flour.Are there...

Can you have acid reflux AND celiac?For 2 years I was treated for acid reflux,took the medication and did fine.Then my dr.movedand I had to get another one.This guy wants everybody to go to some specialist or another.So I went to a digestive specialist.Now they won't give me the medication I was taking then.I am gluten free,but I still have the full bloated...

The lady at the health food store told me that since it was made from sprouted grain it had no flour,therefore no gluten.She is on a gluten-free diet and she uses it. There is still so much I don't know or understand about all this.

I have never had a problem with dairy or corn.I really don't feel this way all the time.Last week I was fine.I stuck to cornbread all week and for breakfast I used the Ezekiel bread--cinnamon and raisin.I am doing the same this week but feel lousy .I guess I really get down too easily,but I am 55 years old and have been at this for a year.It IS hard to teach...

I'm gluten free and STILL bloated and feel crappy.I will be so glad when I can feel good again.I'm not really sick,just feel as big as a blimp and stomach feels weird.I am so careful to not eat gluten yet I still feel like I have.Does anyone else feel this way?Sometimes I think if I am going to feel this way,I might as well eat the foods I want so badly...

What is the difference in being celiac and being gluten intolerant?I thought gluten intolerant WAS celiac.What are the symptoms of gluten intolerance? -

I am celiac complete with that awful rash.It is on my buttocks.Does anyone else have this problem?I cannot wear womens panties because when I do the rash pops up right on the panty leg line.I am reduced to wearing boys briefs that come down on the leg.Also nylon panty hose and girdles set it off too.Can anyone tell me how to deal with this?

Most of the time I walk.Just go out in the yard and wear out the grass.I can't be still,because I am so uncormfortable.I tend to withdraw from everyone and try to walk where no one will bother me.I don't like for people(even family) to see me when I am not my best.I have a hard time coping with being sick.I have never been a whiner,nor could I tolerate anyone... -
I bought the Bob's Red Mill Wheat free Baking mix.What I need to know is,can you freeze the biscuits for cooking at a later date?If so how long will they keep?I would like to be able to freeze some to take when I go camping.

Just out of curiosity I did a search on an antidote for gluten.I found some interesting material.It seems that there is a product which could help breakdown gluten.I also found out about magnesium.It seems to have helped with the rash.It says magnesium is good for several different things.You might want to check it out.I hope it helps someone.

I cannot wear my dentures because for some reason my mouth feels so raw and sore.I put my dentures in and an excess of saliva(?) and fluid built up under my uppers.Can you get dh in your mouth because of pressure from your dentures?

I have always loved Orange Nut Bread.Does anyone have a gluten-free recipe for it?Connie can I just use my old recipe and substitute the rice flours for the wheat flour?Would I use the same amount?

Yes I was diagnosed by a doctor after many months of testing.I had the rash for 8 months before diagnosis and no one could tell me what it was.I am more convinced that the rash was ibuprofen related because I had to take two doses of it and the rash is trying to come back.Iknow I have to get to where I am totally gluten-free,but it is so hard when no one...

The rash that I had has gone away.It really healed up.From what happened I am not so sure that celiac is the only cause of HD.I had mine for 8 months before anyone was able to give me anything for it.At the time I got the rash I had just been put on some medication for restless legs,and had also been taking alot of ibuprofen.I quit taking the ibuprofen because...

I got a rash last October.I thought it was something caused from the chiggers i got earlier in the summer.Eight months later I was diagnosed celiac.That is when I learned what the rash was.I suffered 8 months.He gave me a prescription for lotrosone cream.It was a God send.It stopped the itching and helped heal.I won't be without it.Maybe it can help you...

When I was diagnosed as celiac my dr told me about the rash.He did not know that I had had the rash for 8 months.I did not know what it was.He gave me a scrip for "lotrosone cream".It was wonderful.It helped heal and stop the itch.Maybe this can help your son.This has to be really hard for a child.You have my sympathy.Hope this helps. :
