  1. That would have been a good idea to only try drinking this stuff in my own home to be sure the glassware etc. was gluten free, only, whenever I drink I have been using my own things It also doesn't make me believe it is related in that way because every time I drink it, the problem gets increasingly worse, even if it is over a long period of time....
  2. Yeah Lunazul is cheap and on the low end...that is one reason why I am surprised I can tolerate it. It just seems to be so random. Some high end stuff that other people have offered to buy me I have had bad reactions to. I haven't tried rum since I have been having this problem...but cane sugar gives me horrible migraines as well. It makes me feel as...
  3. Throughout 2008, I was having some trouble with alcoholic beverages that I never experienced before. I used to go out and drink at parties, not to the point where I was in a stupor, but I would generally be drunk. I would never get hangovers though. Ever. At first I just started getting hangovers. Then they became increasingly intense, and would last...
  4. Rice didn't come up on my allergy test, but I do feel better without it. It makes my skin very unhappy when I eat it. It gets all bumpy. The worst is eczema especially around my hairline and on my face, and cystic acne. As soon as I cut it out, the acne went away, and the eczema is MUCH better. With time I'm hoping cutting out rice clears it up completely...
  5. I guess I was just confused about it because for instance, in the SCD diet, you can eat fruit, but if you are trying to kill candida, eating fruit isn't a very good idea. I was confused because I thought that the SCD diet and a diet to kill candida were the same thing, but I guess they are not. I'm a little confused about how the probiotics could be bad...
  6. Cutting out nightshades seems like it might be a good thing to try. I don't eat potatoes or peppers, but I do eat tomatoes occasionally, like twice a month maybe. And also trying to avoid ALL things that could feed the yeast. And I'm definitely going to look into the caprylic acid capsules. The only problem with the ones I've looked at so far is that they...
  7. I have been seeing two doctors: A naturopath, and a regular MD. After receiving the results back from a test I took with my naturopath, I was prescribed fluconazole for an intestinal bacterial overgrowth. I took three doses of it over the course of a few days, and COULD NOT have felt better. It was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. I didn...

    ARCHIVED Probiotics

So you ARE supposed to take probiotics on an empty stomach? What happens if you take them while you eat? My doctor had told me to take mine with meals. Although, I don't completely trust her, which is why I am trying to figure it out.

    ARCHIVED Pf Changs

I recently went to the P. F. Changs in Eugene, OR. It was my first time there. I was kind of scared, but I thought, if I don't try it now, I will never know if it is a place I can eat. I cannot tell you how positive an experience I had there. Firstly, our waiter was fantastic. Very accommodating and didn't make me feel bad for being different and asking...
  10. Thanks so much for the link. I have been checking it out and I think it could definately be a possibility for me. I'll have to look into it more, and see how my current elimination diet goes first before I talk to my doctor about that possibility.
  11. That is interesting about the ezcema going away after you cut out legumes. I never would have even considered ezcema being food related. But then again, it hasn't been until recently that I am finding that LOTS of problems can be potentially food related. And it only makes sense now that I think about it. Maybe my brain fog was stopping me from coming to...
  12. Yes I bought all new lotions and soaps, toothpaste, make up, etc that are all gluten, soy, and dairy free, as hard as it was to find them. I thought about finding a gluten free pet food for my dogs, but would that really affect me if there is gluten in there food? I mean, as long as I'm not touching it when I put it in the bowl. Or do you think just by me...
  13. I WAS keeping a food diary, but I found it to be of not much use because it doesn't seem to matter what I eat. I have these problems no matter what. It is possible that I am getting gluten in some way, but not that I am aware of. My Dad is also off gluten and we eat the same things, as we are in the same house right now, and when we get glutened we both feel...
  14. Hello everyone, I've been finding all sorts of of good information on this board. I can't tell you how much it's helped me so far. I've been staying away from gluten since November. Three days of going off gluten my horrible acne went away completely. I felt more energized, my regular 15+ mouth sores dissapeared, I lost my bloat and upset stomach, and...
