  1. Both of my parents have been tested negative for celiac disease. I'm glad they don't have it, but that was just another reason for me to be skeptical. The depression, yes, I still am on anti-depressants for it. My periods are regular now. As far as vitamins, my Dr. has me on: fish oil, magnesium, vitamin d, twice a day multi and zinc. I don't think...
  2. I was diagnosed through a positive blood test with celiac disease 3 years ago. As soon as I found out, I went strictly gluten free. I didn't notice a change in anything, and still never have. My Dr. says he tested me because I grew up with depression and somewhat irregular periods. Even when I've accidentally ingested gluten, since I went gluten-free...
  3. Could a bulimic person be misdiagnosed as celiac disease from stomach issues? Even if they are a new bulimic? How does bulimia interfere with celiac disease and visa versa?
  4. rachelle, those are great tips. i do a lot of the same! working out at night really does cut out those night time munchies! ivaana, i was under the same misconception when i first went gluten-free. a lot of people said i would gain weight. don't listen to them! i have lost almost 40 lbs since i went gluten-free in august! i promise, you can do it too....
  5. okay i am just coming in here for the first time! i have lost almost 40 lbs since i went gluten-free and i have 10 more to lose until my goal weight! i am really cracking down on eating well and exercising so i can get rid of them before the summer! i think being accountable will really help! my weigh ins are on fridays!
  6. right now the dr. i go to is nice, but i really want to start seeing a celiac disease specialist, even if i have to drive an hour or two. i haven't found any in nashville but i probably haven't looked well enough. i could even drive to atl. to see someone. i have been wanting a biopsy for a while now but i don't want to get back on gluten for long enough...
  7. hi guys. i just joined this board because it seems like a really great place! i was on the delphi celiac disease boards but my computer crashed and i lost the address, plus i'm not that crazy about the layout of the boards there. anyway, i'm 20, i'm from nashville and i go to school at MTSU here. i'm a music business major, and i'm originally from new orleans...
  8. i just made bobs hot cereal for the first time and i tried a few bites but it was disgusting! i am sorry but being gluten free does not require me to eat $h!t! ya know? i dumped it all in the trash. now if i have a reaction, i will be really mad! waste of money and getting glutened would really suck! ha!
