  1. I hope you're feeling better! I'm by no means an expert on the subject -- Bully4You is my mentor of a sorts, really -- but I can tell you that I seem to be leaning towards the "extremely sensitive" side. I'm still figuring out my body's process, but it appears that "smaller" contaminations (i.e I get CC'd from lotion or kissing my husband after he...
  2. Currently suffering a mysterious posioning as I am -- I have no idea WHERE I got CC'd! -- I think I'm entirely justified in saying give me whatever it takes to stop feeling like this! Seriously, though, I'm always willing to try things in moderation. Anything that can ease the discomfort and flat out unhappiness of a CC is going to get a try in my...
  3. You read my mind! I was planning to ask about this product today -- I'm glad you got here first. Thanks!
  4. It seems like I'm having a hard time with meat, even... It seriously makes me feel like I can't eat anything but dry, bland stuff. So far, I've had horrible responses to bacon, steak, and burgers (with no bun). I've been gluten-free (as much as I can, learning as I go) for a few weeks. There's been improvement, but I still find myself getting randomly...
  5. Hey, thanks everyone! Good to know! I'll keep an eye on all such symptoms and call it good. I did check with the place I ate and their fries fryer is completely separate from the fryer they use for the breaded products, but that said, I guess it's true you can't be sure about CC. I did have more fries today (before I checked these replies, heh), so...
  6. Hi, everyone! So, I had a major gluten episode last night that has carried over to tonight. I've been really careful of late, so it was a total surprise -- and so bad, too! We had gluten-free pancakes for dinner, and bacon. Within ten minutes of eating my first bit of bacon, I got hit by symptoms. Within the hour, it was full-blown. I checked the...
  7. Probiotics gave me a noticeable difference after being on them for over a week. The first week was TERRIBLE, but then my body evened out. I'd say give them a chance, but stay on it for a month. So much for easy fixes, huh?
  8. If it helps at all, I had D for at least a week, if not a little more. It got progressively better but it took time. I felt better within days of starting the diet -- tummy cramping eased up, chills, things like that -- but then I got nailed with influenza, so I'm having a hard time comparing before and afters at this point. Hang tough! =)
  9. Boy, is this frustrating. The blood tests came back and they're all negative for gluten antibodies and "normal" for anemia. And yet... My symptoms have all but vanished on the gluten free diet. (Note: I had the blood tests taken before I started the diet.) I haven't gotten an endoscopy because I'm uninsured and the doctor says I'd be looking at about...
  10. It seems that after writing this post, my stomach decided it hated the dinner of potatoes, steak and corn I gave it. I'm so dejected, I'm in tears because I just want to get healthy. I have to cut our soy, I suppose, to help things heal, but I don't even know where to start. I have to stay strong and learn how to deal, but it's hard, isn't it?
  11. Okay, I thought I was doing so well... I feel so overwhelmed and I know that I need help to get my diet in order. I can't do it on my own, and my husband is just no good at helping with food planning. He's doing all he can to stick to the gluten-free diet we've managed to scrape together. While I'd love to say that this is something we'll work out, I don...
  12. Thanks so much for the positive thoughts! And oh, Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear about your current issues! I can only imagine being in a place with as wonderful food as Italy and having to go without. I hope your problems are at least named soon. I'm trying very hard to stay on a gluten-free diet. It's especially hard because there's no immediate difference...
  13. Hello, everyone. I suppose now is as good a time to intro myself as any! I'm pre-diagnosis at the moment (I get my results back mid-week, I think) but I've started a gluten-free diet in the hope that celiac disease or plain gluten-sensitivity is really what's wrong with me. I've gone through most of my life being incredibly skinny, but so has my brother...
