  1. Hi Ali, Just wondered how did you know you were intolerant to carbs/ sugar, dairy?? Must be very difficult and limiting for you, bu then if you feel much better obviously well worth it! I didnt realise you could be intolerant to carbs, i thought everybody needed them to function and have energy and stuff?? sorry im ignorant! reading about your parents...
  2. i dont even know what a Onestop is!!! take it its like a takeout cafe, but dodgey food?! Wish i could contain myself and eat healthy, i mean i do try, im just a sugar addict with zero willpower! Yea freaky but i know what you mean, the disease can be handy sometimes when you dont actually want to eat crap, particularly when people are shoving it in...

  5. i dont know...i did comment a few times in that post. i just stick with what i know and that works fine for me! i know i get pasta, etc on prescription here, which says gluten free and is made from rice therefore cannot have gluten in! its organ stuff which is made in australia so you prob know. i wouldnt worry, i just buy normal none specialsit products...

  9. oh my goodness i see what your saying (finally my brain is slow to work!), its all so complicated labelling laws and stuff! im glad im not in the food industry. Nobody dare claim anything these days coz were all so scared of being sued, but at the same time some companies that do make random claims are quite random! Wow you certainly know your stuff!
  10. oh my god, info overload, perhaps im thick, but this all just confuses me to death. personally i eat mostly things that arnt specifically gluten free (too expensive and totally unnecessary) and dont say gluten free on them, i just read labels and they obviously are. i have lists from manufacturers of curry sauces (uncle bens) pasta sauces, confectionary...
  11. Hi thanks for that, really useful! I like the way you describe las vegas as "interesting!" im preparing myself for shock then! I also notice you say you suffered depression til you cut out processed foods, me too, ive cut out gluten obviously, but i eat alot of chemical rubbish, like 7-8 sweeteners in every cupa tea/coffee, cover all food in salt, etc...
  12. Hi i live in england, i cant tolerate the codex wheat starch 200ppm and i get loads of stuff that says gluten free and is!! its just made from different grains thats all. Its really not that complicated, if its not on the label then it cant legally be added. i just read labels, if its not on then i have it and im fine. I know that spelnda (type of maltodextrin...

  14. everyone one of my teeth possible to chew on has a fillng and im only 25! went to dental hospital the other day he said i have no enamel left on most teeth, down to the dentine and v. sensitive, need more fillings and a shim. i once mentioned coeliac disease to my dentist and i dont even think she knew what it was never mind related the problem slightly!...
