  5. i am delighted..when we started our gluten-free diet...this forum was a lifesaver and now with this thread..things can only get better.. i am an average cook and my kids love sweet indian desserts...their fav is Ras Malai..its milk based and is ready in a jiffy a litre of fresh milk + half cup sugar + 2 cardamom pods opened and powdered + pinch of saffron...

  7. would u consider starting a thread on indian recipes here...i have had my share of successes with desserts etc..like Ras Malaai and jilaibi etc....so would love to contribute too...we could share our experiences...its an idea..what do u think??? after all this forum has been a starting point for many celiacs..and many of them do the indian food too.....

  11. i was close to tears when i posted on this forum...reality is that even beofre the diagnosis i have always,and i mean always set out with a plan..whether its a meal or an outing...i would be prepared..whether it was extra t shirts..inhalers..snacks(beofre celiac)....that drives my hubby nuts......my hubby is the spontaneous sort...so i guess he just wanted...
  12. its been a long day...managed a good lunch and dinner..then was able to freeze and process other side dishes for the up coming weekend...we r taking the kids to a fair tomorrow...i thought it would be smart to pack some snacks and possibly a light meal...hubby thinks its a bad idea...he thinks by planning every meal like this...i am cornering my kids and...
  13. well uht milk means that the milk has been treated at high temperature for longer shelf life..then packed into tetra packs..its long life milk..an alternative to powdered milk..i live in the middle east and have had no luck pursuing anything over the phone...those who attend the toll free numbers have no clue...i have mentioned this beofre on the forum too...
