  1. I posted this to another parent with time and cooking concerns and thought the info would benefit you as well. I forgot to add that cow's milk can be replaced with soy or rice milk and that we will eat baked (microwaved really) sweet or white potatoes, rice or mashed potatoes for variety. There are also many choices for wheat, gluten, and egg free pasta...
  2. What does that mean? What is Endomysial Antibody IgA versus Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum?
  3. Gluten free for almost 2 years. His toothpaste, soap, etc. has been gluten-free, mostly by accident but thank goodness! 3 months on gluten!?! I don't think I could take seeing him miserable for so long; not to mention tolerating his mood swings. I know I will keep him on a gluten-free diet anyway but it would certainly be nice to have an actual diagnosis...
  4. I can sympathize with your situation. I say before you end up freaking out on your family, you need to take some time for yourself. I know it's easier said than done but even if you steal away 20-30 minutes of alone time to read a book, take a nap, or soak in a tub; DO IT. (Be sure to wera headphones so you don't hear them calling for you.) Your hubby can...
  5. Hello All. My son's blood tests came back but I don't really understand them. His allergist only said that he doesn't have celiac's according to the test results. Here's what I'm looking at: Endomysial Antibody IgA Negative Negative t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 1 U/ml ...
  6. My youngest, now three, had the same exact issues since birth. Our pedi referred us to a ped ENT who removed his adenoids and inserted tubes into each ear (to alleviate the constant fluid buildup) but refused to remove the very enlarged tonsils. She, instead, wanted to keep him on antibiotics when necessary until he was closer to four. That would be another...
  7. Thanks. We discovered very early that Aveeno actually worsened his eczema. I'll need to swing by Whole Foods and buy a new vitamin too. Because of his very limited diet he's actually been receiving twice the recommended dosage of his Flintstone's vitamin. I'll check out that website tonight to look for the meds that are okay. I spoke to his pediatrician...
  8. WOW! Thanks to all of you who responded to my post. I've gotten so much useful information already. I've submitted a form to be contacted by somebody from the Dallas ROCK and I've looked at the list of doctors experienced with this sort of condition. Maybe after speaking to some others in my area I can find one that seems to be a favorite of some parents...
  9. Hello Everybody! A little history first: I have a son who will be 3 next month. He was diagnosed with a cow's milk protein allergy when he was just under 2 months. We've always battled with diarrhea, constipation, eczema, rashes/blisters, volatile mood swings, and even had multiple episodes of bloody stools (saw one GI doc but never explained). We've spent...
