  1. Thanks to both for your suggestions. I have tried acupuncture but haven't in a while; it helped a little. Maybe I will give it another go. I don't know what stage of gastroparesis I am in. After the hospital stay and with meds I am now able to tolerate soft foods. Some days are good and some not so good. I just found out today I do have hypothyroidism...
  2. Hi! I am just wondering what anyone else has tried to treat gastroparesis. I have celiac disease and gastroparesis which is a tough combo. I just spent a week in the hospital trying to get the gastroparesis under control. I am on Reglan again which has some bad side effects for me so it is just a temporary solution. I have tried the gastro diet, domperidone...
  3. It is good you are finding other things to check for gluten. I like you am still testing positive on blood work after almost 2 years of being gluten free and being very meticulous. My GI doc did an endoscope and found I still had mild celiac sprue so they are treating me with a steroid to heal up my intestines. My GI encouraged me to still be meticulous...
  4. I need help understanding something. Is a positive Ab, IgA a bad thing - my number is 22 reference range is considered high above 19. I have been very, gluten free for 1.5 years. I am extremely careful and have had a dietician go through my food to make sure I am not getting gluten. My ferritin tested low and did my iron saturation level - it was 19,...
  5. Hello. I want to pose a question. Does anyone have any experience with nerve damage caused by celiac disease? Would anyone recommend seeing a neurologist? I was diagnosed with celiac disease 18mo ago and have been very carefully living on a gluten free diet. I have had a dietician and a person who runs our local support group go through my food, make...
  6. I have had similar reactions to potato, so I no longer eat them. A dietician suggested to me to keep a food diary and only add a new food every 3-4 days. That way you can keep track of which foods cause symptoms in you. Good luck.
  7. To Jaimepsalm: Sorry you have gastroparesis too. Thanks for the diet tips. I was on just gatorade and rice, but am now doing better. My dr gave me a Rx for domperidone (you can get at compound pharmacies, Canada) combined with Erythromycin. Together, they are working. I also use wristbands for the nasaeu that you can find at pharmacies call Sea Bands...
  8. Thank you all for the ideas! I was tested for Lupus & thyroid problems and was negative. I will definitely try the vitamin supplements and diet ideas. It is nice to have a direction to go.
  9. Thanks for the tips. I have not checked all of my make up and am working on that now. Everything else I believe I am doing. I am just wondering if anyone has any helpful ideas on diet until my gastroparesis improves. Even with medication I still have problems. I talked to a dietician who didn't have a lot of ideas since I also have Celiac. I eat mostly...
  10. Hi. I am new to this forum. I was diagnosed with Celiac 1 1/2 years ago and have since been diagnosed with Raynaud's syndrome (cold fingers and feet when exposed to cold because arteries constrict) and Gastroparesis. I am wondering if the two are connected to Celiac disease. I am extremely careful on my diet and avoid cross-contamination. I am still...
