About Me

Ah...who knows what is wrong with me!! All I know is that I'm annoyed...

Dumb.

I have no clue what I have. I may or may not have Celiac. I found out that all the doctors I went to don't know much about the disease and I wasn't properly tested. One doctor told me to go on a gluten-free diet and I have been feeling better ever since. Although I still have joint soreness and pain. But that's ok for right now!

All my problems started after having mono two years ago, well maybe not started but got worse. I actually wish that I had a black/white answer because it would make my life much easier. Sometimes I feel it's all in my head and I've been called a hypochondriac way too much.

  1. I had a gluten antibody test while I was so called 'gluten free' per the FDA, but in fact all grains have proteins known as 'glutens', so I was also reacting to oats, corn, and rice with corn being the worst. I also had to give up listerine because it was made with sorbitol a corn derivative and corn gluten contains 55% of a gluten called 'zien'. That 10 seconds of swishing it around in my mouth gave me whole body pain like a MS or RA type pain and it all went away on day three of stopping Listerine and I threw away all the other products as well that contained any form of corn gluten. I have to make most of my own foods i.e. pickles, ketchup, vegan cheese, yogurt, etc. because most of that stuff is also contaminated with corn gluten or it is very expensive. I suspect you are true celiac and need to get rid of all the corn gluten like I did, most of my supplements had it too. There are 1,800 corn derivatives in products these days and those on traditional gluten free diets aren't getting better like they should because of this.  I don't have a piece of paper proving ...

  2. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  3. Thank you for your suggestions. I'll try a simpler diet and I'll get tested for other things once I get my insurance if it still persists. As of for right now I guess I'll have to continue to ride it out!
  4. I have been gluten free for I believe 9-10 months, truly absolutely gluten free for about 4. I was doing awesome until I ate something that had tomato soup in it...let's just say I had a bad night that night. Otherwise I don't believe I've messed up. Anyway since going gluten-free, my digestive system has been amazingly awesome...i never had this experience...
  5. Yeah I tried but I don't think she fully understood.
  6. I ate at applebee's today and I had a bacon cheeseburger without a bun and fries. I got sick about 2 hours later. Do the fries have gluten?
  7. I'm coming from a college student stand point and I feel that all the cookbooks out there are just "too" much for me. They call for the weirdest ingredients and there are a lot of ingredients. I'm a poor student who can barely afford the basics. I would like to see some easier type of recipes in where I can find the ingredients and doesn't take 4 hours...
  8. Thank you and appreciate your comment and I do understand... I guess it's frustrating because as much as it's new to them, it's as new to me. I know they'll come around eventually! Thank you!
  9. Anyone know of yummy gluten free hard cider???
  10. Hey I know what you mean...I am/was in the same situation. I'd say it's hard to stay completely gluten free when you don't have an actual diagnosis of celiac because then you tell yourself I can have this one cookie just this time. But if you do happen to have celiac you are damaging your body with that one cookie. Now it's all up to you. If you feel...
  11. are you lactose intolerant that you can't eat cheese?
  12. Ah it's thursday and that means tomorrow is Friday which is my day off! Woot! I love fridays...but then friday's mean that saturday and sunday are coming. I work saturday and sundays and my boss is a jerk. I think he likes to pick on me and my crew. Not cool and I'm getting fed up with it. We have a meeting tomorrow and if he brings up one more little...
  13. I noticed at first that the doctors thought I was just being crazy. I'd list of my symptoms and they would say that's not important or roll their eyes. They made me feel like I was making a deal out of nothing. They always told me that it could be anything, that these symptoms were pointless. Then I went to school and kept going to the doctor here and...
  14. I found my gassyiness to subside when I went gluten free and I notice it comes back when I eat gluten and when I'm under a lot of stress. I've been dealing with gas since forever and it's finally nice to go on a date with someone and not be gassy! I would recommend gluten free because now I'm free of a lot of stuff and definitely notice some improvement...
  15. and how did you survive being lactose intolerant. I'm glad I can have dairy (as of now) because I love cheese!
