  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. As to prevent any libelous issues I will state that it is "only my opinion". But may I state another inclusion in the book. Annie's Naturals salad dressing-Organic Papaya Poppy Seed. This product is in the book, states it's gluten free on the label. It also says "made on equipment that processes wheat". Sorry but for this reason it shouldn't be in the...
  3. Cecelia's guide lists many types of Doritos as gluten free. How can a product be gluten free when MSG is listed as an ingredient? I PLAN ON THROWING OUT MY GUIDE, UNLESS SOMEONE CAN EXPLAIN. AND IT'S NOT JUST DORITOS MANY OTHER PRODUCTS WITH GLUTEN ARE LISTED. COMPLETE GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chris
  4. I desperately need a LLMD in or near Colorado. I've reached out on a lyme specific forum with no return posts. Can anyone help me out
  5. FYI, I got an e-mail back from Earthbath pet products. Thanks so much. I just heard back and the answer is that the Hypo-Allergenic is gluten-free. The products you want to avoid are the Creme Rinse and Conditioner, the Oatmeal and Aloe and all of the Spritzes. The reason being that they contain collodial oatmeal, but the chemist conservatively suggested...
  6. Brizzo, They didn't have premade nasty tasting wafers 2000 years ago did they. It's your body, but I think it's crazy to gluten yourself ever week when there is a safe alternative. So have at it, let us know when you start to have a reaction, because you will!!!!
  7. Has anyone ever had severe joint and muscle pain and been placed on steriods? Has anyone ever had these pains but no stomach/stool issues. My MD is trying to say that my current symptoms are related to celiac, but I doubt his diagnosis.
  8. Couldn't you provide your pastor/priest/minster(?) with a gluten free cracker to be blessed and taken during communion? After all isn't the cracker just a symbolic representation of the "Body of Christ"?
  9. I'm probably extremely lucky when compared to most. When I was diagnosed with celiac my wife went gluten free at the same time I did. No cross contamination in my household, now that is support from the one you love AND THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU!!!!!!! I personally don't eat out anymore because CC is going to happen. I work in a hospital and I know CC happens...
  10. Discussed before but unclear, ? maltodextrin. Velveeta safe or not? Thanks in advance
  11. I know this has been discussed before, but I was wondering if the moderators could start a gluten free pet product section. Everyone could start posting about foods, treats, shampoos, etc.
  12. Try going to wrongdiagnosis.com and put in lyme disease, celiac, and multiple schlerosis and look at the misdiagnosis section. I agree have your thyroid tested and more than just TSH level. Gaining weight but not eating? I would also look into kidney function. Does you weight gain appear to be water weight? What state do you live in, I ask because lyme...
  13. Jin, Keep up the fight. Research, read, and Google everything. When I went to see my doc late last week I went with ammo in hand about lyme. He did not try and sway me away from the western blot test. He actually said I didn't need to make an appointment once my IgeneX lab req came in, he said just come in and he will sign the req. If you go in with...
  14. Jin, I feel your pain with regards to the doctors and medical system. I've worked in hospitals for the past 20yrs. Many doctors are not very good, not even at their specialty. My respiratory education was a 2 yr A.S. degree, and I would challenge almost any doctor, any where, and any time when it comes to mechanical ventilation(the respirator). I...
  15. Rachel, I did have the EGD(or upper GI endoscopy). The reason a colonoscopy(lower GI endoscopy) was performed was because they were both done back to back under the same anethetics on the same day. Sorry for the miscommunication.
  16. Susie, I've done lots of research in the last couple days and I would refer you to the following link Open Original Shared Link. According to my hours of reading doxy will not solve your lyme problem if you are considered "Chronic", which you are based on your posts. I will be doing my western blot through IgeneX early this week. I'm waiting on...
  17. Rachel, A colonoscopy is an endoscopy. A colonosope is the longest of the scopes that go through your rectum. There is a sigmodoscope, but that is only to exam the lower colon. When you go through your mouth that is call an EGD. I had both a colonoscopy and EGD in 2001 at which time my GI said I had celiac.
  18. I was diagnosed with celiac in 2001 by colonoscopy, and immediately went gluten free. Can a colonoscopy give a false positive? I've never had any confirming blood work. I'm wondering if I should gluten up and have a complete celiac blood panel. I ate at Burger King a few month ago with no celiac symptoms. I'm currently thinking lyme disease based on my current...
  19. Symptomax, I'm currently going through the same symptoms you are right now, plus some, and I've been gluten free for years. I WOULD DEFINITELY START LOOKING INTO LYME ASAP!!!!! I just ordered the lab reqs from IgeneX labs yesterday and they should be here Monday or Tuesday. I feel 99.99% sure my western blot will come back positive for lyme. Check out...
  20. I'm waiting for my lab req from IgeneX and should get it Monday or Tuesday. I lived in Maine for the summer of 2004. I now live in western Colorado. I started having many of the symptoms listed for Lyme soon after getting here. It wasn't till the last 6 weeks that I have developed debilitating joint pain and was placed on prednisone. I now know prednisone...
  21. Susie, Were you diagnosed with celiac by colonoscopy? I had a colonoscopy in 2001 and the GI said I had celiac disease. I'm guessing I do have celiac, because I didn't live in Maine till 2004. I was in Colorado from 1999-2001, Saudi Arabia 6 months of 2001 then back to Colorado, early 2004 to fall 2004 Maine, and have been in western Colorado till now...
  22. I'll be calling IgeneX in the morning, but some questions. Did you call before ordering the tests? Why did you go straight to western blot or did you also do ELISA?
  23. I can't believe that this thread may be the answer to all my problems. I lived in Maine 3+ years ago and now live in western Colorado. Maine=mod/high risk for lyme and Colorado no/minimal risk for lyme. I've been tired for years now. A current prednisone course is helping with the joist pain. I've tried to come off the pred twice in the last 3 weeks with...
  24. My wife is in the process of changing her personal care products to celiac safe. She she is trying to find out about Lipfinity lip color from Max Factor. I did e-mail the company, but thought some on the forum may already know. Thanks in advance for your responses.
  25. Wow, I can't believe that many of the "topic" products out there aren't gluten free. I've been having major joint and body pain issues requiring current prednisone use. My MD feels that it is related to my celiac disease. I've just returned from the health store and have found out many of my personal care products may be the culprit. I also went through...
