I've been Gluten Free for just over a month and can honestly see and feel changes!! YEAH
I'm not as tired as I used to be, I have alot more energy then I used too. I used to have to take a nap at lunch to make it through the day.
I'm not getting as sick and I used too. I would get sick as soon as I ate dinner or lunch. or ANYTHING.
Headaches are gone! yeah
Not afraid to eat, well sometimes I still am but I get over it.
and Im loosing weight too! Not a whole lot but some!
No more Diareha! haha Finnally firm stool again! most of the time not 100%
I got to go back to the Doc in a couple of weeks to see what he says, hopefully he will be happy and I wont have to have a colonoscopy.

well.... Since im pretty new at this, this is what I eat:
Breakfast: Rice Chex, I usually eat them dry by hand (since Im driving cant do milk) and some sort of fruit. Apple and Pnut butter is yummy.
Lunch: Either I do left overs from the night before, and If I dont have left overs I usually Eat a yogurt and another piece of fruit. also snack on Corn tortillas you can also eat some salsa's too.
Dinner: We ususally cook Some sort of Beef, Chicken, Turkey and have Veggies, and some sort of potato (mashed, baked or Fries) or rice
Dessert: I usually have some Icecream w/ hersheys syrup or you can have hot pudding Yummy...
Marshmallow are s good little snack to eat. I also enjoy M&M's since they are gluten free and Hersheys Bar
You can have the rice pasta you'll have to look into the sauces that you can have. yu can also have lunch meats and cheeses just look and make sure they are gluten free... or Go to the Brand Website or call the company to make sure.
Apple Sauce and most canned fruits you can have as a snack.
I know that I didnt used to eat as much fruit as I have been lately, so Its a little hard to get used to. But eventually you do. I never ate that much fast food except Subway and now I cant eat any of that. Bread was that hardest thing to quit.
good luck.

Have you been formally diagnosed by a doctor or just self diagnosed? If a doctor told you that you have it then it might be a good Idea to Call him/her and talk to the doc or have you talk to a nutritionist to go over what you can and cant have.
There is alot of info on this site along, in the past posts, recipes and things that are good to eat. Unfortunetly it is a dramatic change (for most) Myself Im only 2 1/2 weeks into gluten free and I have been feeling better and also have more ENERGY then ever before.
Good luck and try not to be too discouraged.

Hi Becki, Im also new to the Gluten free Diet, I've actually been Gluten free for just a week and a half. At first I felt like there was NOTHING to eat, But i've found that there is actually alot, you just have to research it first and look for it at the store. I used to eat a ton of bread and different cereals and pasta. So it was very difficult to kick the Bread and yummy cereal. But I havent had any in a week and a half. So I basically cut out Bread Cookies, cakes, snacks, stuff thats not even good for me. I've been feeling better then I had before I started the Gluten Diet. I havent had any stomach aches or anything wich is NICE! I did alot of research on the internet and just typed in if what ever I wanted to eat had Gluten in it and usually an old post from this forum pops up and tells me yah or nay. If you have a Safeway store around you there is a list of all the Safeway Brands that are Gluten free. I can post it if you would like. I found it on this forum. If I can do it... You can! trust me. Since I cut carbs out almost completely, i think i've also lost a couple pounds. thats always nice... good Luck with your search for yummy food!

hello everyone, I've been checking out the webiste for a couple days. I like it alot, and great info. Just the other day My Doctor and I decided trying a Gluten Free diet to see if it will Help me. I really need to make sure I do it, thats the thing! haha its hard to give up the food you love, but hates you. I've been looking at alot of info, and it seems like alot of the stuff I like I can still eat, except bread, I have to change that.
My doc and I determined that if the gluten free diet doesnt work, I will have to do a Colonoscopy in a couple of months, because my Pill Cam endoscopy had mixed results, so in order to know for sure, if its Crones or Celiac I will have to get a biopsy. TOTALLY not looking forward to that. Im sure most of you have been through it though. I look forward to talking with you all, Im sure Ill have lots of Questions.

I've been taking Yasmin for about 2 years now and just this month started taking the genaric of that. I was paying 25 bucks a month and the pharmasist rang up the genaric and it was 10 bucks! I asked him.. ARE YOU SURE ITS THE SAME? he said yes. Now I haven't had any issues with it, but its only been 4nights that I've taken it. I will keep an eye out for weird issues. I hope it works ok for me cuz 10 is better then 25! My brain tends to react to other peoples feelings of things, So I have to try and not let my brain think that Im getting sick when I actually am Fine.
