  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. In the north east we have a resturant chain called "The 99". Now recently they came out with a gluten free menu. I went and talked to the manager, and she was very happy about it. "we had our head chefs go through our menu and select products that have no gluten ingredients!" she told me, "so its all safe for people with your allergy." I let the allergy comment...
  3. thanks for all your responses! I have power at work, and my boss just let me run to a grocery store here in the city. I got plenty of fruits and canned hormel chilis as well as a microwaveable treat I'm enjoying now back at the office. I hope my power is back soon, but until then its fruit, cheese, sausage, chili and ceral!
  4. both stores I went to today had empty refrigorator and freezer sections. I've been living snack foods and rice chex for awhile...I will try calling PSNH though....
  5. Hey everyone, I live in NH and have been without power for 4 days so far. The power company says it'll be another 7 days before power is restored. Today I ran out of non perishable Food, and both my local grocery stores had to trash most of thier gluten-free products cause of a power outtage. I can't eat out like everyone else is....any ideas?

Any significant amount causes violent vomitting, cold sweats, and shaking then a rotten uneasy stomach for days. While seemingly intracable amounts ( cross contamination...
  7. I have an interesting question. Has anyone here gotten ill from being in a fast food restaurant? I work in an area thats 70 feet from a McDonalds (food court style so its open air) and every time I'm at work I get sick. Any thoughts?
  8. I have been gluten-free for 2 months now, and my reactions always follow the same path. About an hour after I'm "glutened" I start belching and having extreme stomach cramps, then I need to run to the bathroom and empty my stomach. After I am fatigued and have bad gas that just won't go away for several hours. But the plus side is after all that I feel better...
  9. I was diagnosed with Celiac in June on this year and am getting used to a gluten free diet. For me Gluten causes a violent stomach reaction with lots of pain and vomiting. I've gotten things under control at home, but I keep having reactions at work! I very carefully control what I eat there and even avoid eating in the break room or using the communal fridge...
