  1. Greetings everyone, I am sure some of you have a very good meatball recipe to serve with spagetti, and, that does not fall apart, and stays firm but not soggy. I have used breadcrumbs, too mushy, rice, but have to mash, and also vegetables, but changes taste. Any advice or tips, Doug
  2. Hope you can find Stickney Point Rd, it's off US 41, the main road going west to Siesta Key, pick up their menu, and talk with them, their close to the Granary(gluten items etc) also on Stickney Road, they also deliver, ENJOY!

I talked with these women at length, they are very accomodating, and I think if you requested a gluten free ic cone they would have them, they are at a new location now, I feel they deserve some kind of feature article in the Sarasota and Venice papers to raise their awareness, what say you?, I'm visiting from Michigan, Doug

  5. Anyone who is celiac+lacto intolerant+no eggs, I know this is asking a lot, but does anyone have a decent bread recipe? Do any of Betty Hageman's books offer recipes for this type of problem? I know there is a rice and almond milk and what about just egg whites in a bread recipe.

  9. Anyone have this mixer, I prefer a hand mixer to a stand mixer, due to cost and portability, need a hand mixer strong & durable enough to mix thick bread dough.
  10. Can anyone suggest a good heavy duty mixer to adequately mix the heavy baking doughs with different gluten free recipes. Do they make a HD mixer that could also be used as a portable by disconnecting the mixer head?
  11. I am 6 months into my learning experience, bread is the most difficult adjustment, finally settled on Gluten Free Pantry's white sandwich bread mix, not bad, and is easy to bake. Another suggestion, order a copy of Annalise Roberts "Gluten Free Baking Classics 2nd Edition", lots of great recipes, pg 170, makes great english muffins, toasted, matches up...

How much risk do all of you feel with malt flavoring in Corn Flakes & Rice Krispies, I talk with some celiac's and they eat both of them, we all have different intolerence levels, I wish that they would label the milligram content of gluten in products, then we would know about staying below certain levels of gluten content. ...

  15. Can anyone provide some tips to keep bread and cake, baked in an oven from sagging or shrinking? Have used some of "Roberts" and "Fensters" recipes and followed them precisely, ingredients, baking time, no improvisation. Please advise?
